Constant Error during gameplay

I searched thoroughly to find a topic to search for it but nothing came up.  i just recently upgraded to 1.4.1 and DLed all the new files and i keep getting an error that reads:

Access violation at address 004EECA6 in module 'Soldat.exe'. Read of address 00000000.

i found a topic similar to this in the faq section of the website but it was for version 1.3.  What could be causing it to do this and what do i need to do to play it??? before i downloaded the current soldat (v1.4.1) my client never had this problem.  Please assist

Click on video compatibility in your soldat setup thingy.... thatll probly work

I got the messege somtimes. But it only did it when i start up the game. I changed some display and video settings and it stoped for me.
