Ghost Recon 3: Advanced Warfighter
« on: July 15, 2007, 10:16:49 pm »
Hey guys.
So last week I came into some money (I sold my self on the nearest corner if you must know :P) and decided to spend it on Ebay. I bid on a few games, one being Hitman 3, and Ghost Recon 3. I won the Ghost Recon game, so it was Ghost Recon I paid for. Now, I await a parcel from some guy is China, which holds potential fun and endless hours of KILL KILL KILL. (boom headshot?)
Why I share this story with you, I don't know. But What I WANT to know...is has anyone else bought or own this game? Whats it like? Does it run well on your system? Would it run on a 256mb Nvidia GeForce card and 512mb RAM?
Whats the weapons and balance like, and is the singleplayer good?
Should I own it, or resell it on Ebay for GTA:SA or Hitman 3?
Just another soul to burn.

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter Minimum System Requirements
Pentium IV 2Ghz
Windows XP/2000
NVIDIA® GeForce™ 6/7 or ATI® Radeon® 9600-9800/X
1024 MB RAM and 5 GB of hard drive space

I doubt it'll work with 512 RAM. I played it tho. It's good but it lacks the ability to save when you want too. No medkits so if you drop to the point where one bullet will kill you, you spend all your time using your teamates with the tactical map and miss out all the fun(you regain some health after you load saves). Overall the game was a blast but it was difficult, sometimes slow and I got very often frustrated for being killed or losing teammates at several areas and had to load a save.

I have:
AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+ 2.2Ghz
MSI Geforce7600GS 256MB
2048RAM

and it ran with Medium textures (didn't bother to try the maximum because you had to change that in a file), 8xAA and everything else and the distance on max. The gameplay was smooth.

Now I just got GRAW2 which requirements are very similar to GRAW1 and I tried the MP Beta and it was even better with the realistic feeling than GRAW1.

OBEY!!!
