didn't say anything about coolness, if i wanted to look cool i wouldn't go on an internet forum.  it's just kind of immature to have swear filters in a forum based on a game with (poorly-rendered) gore and players that swear nonstop.  not to mention you'd have to be completely insane to actually get worked up over someone swearing.

Back in 9th grade, I (and several schoolmates of mine) had to spend a whole semester sharing a bus with students from another school.

They were the most annoying and idiotic bunch I've ever met.  Contaminating our seats with their dirty posteriors and shoes; talking loudly across the aisle, with topics ranging from sex with women to why the sky is blue; frequent swearing, and all that other stuff.

Most of the students were Latino.  They would always speak in Spanish, curse in Spanish, etc.  All the boys sat in the front and pissed our bus driver off so much (unintentionally, though).  He called them a "bunch of foolish Mexicans who do not deserve to live on this beautiful world of ours."  Girls sat in the back, and even though our bus was very long, I could still hear them chattering (in Spanish, of course) about some celebrity or this or that.  Their voices were so high-pitched, I couldn't stand it.

Thank god I'm not sharing buses with them anymore.

He wasn't even trying to be cool. it is sort of pointless to have filters because you pretty much know what the persons filtered out word is. Plus in Soldat people swear alot.

I hate swear filters that delete your message instead of editing it with @#$% or something. I also hate swear filters where you are banned for saying ass or hell, or they don't tell you that a: they have a swear filter and B: what is filtered.

You know when you go to the chippys and they put your chips in those horrid little plastic boxes, and then they put them all in one big plastic bag, and all the plastic rubs together when your holding it and it makes the most annoying, teeth clenching sound ever. You dont get it with the boxes at mcdonalds because they put the boxes in paper bags and cardboard stuff so the boxes don't rub against anything. BUT THE CHIPPYS HAVENT FIGURED THAT OUT YET.

The point was that excessive swearing is unnecessary.  † just worded it a little differently.

Anyway, what annoys me?  A lot of things that shouldn't.  People who mispronounce words (Febuary, astricks, ek cetra) are high on the list though.  Also, people who can't be bothered to type with proper grammar in forums, newsgroups, and email.  You're not on a schedule.  You can take the time to look reasonably intelligent.

Oh, and noobs.  Noobs are annoying.

EDIT: Also, I can't stand fanatics.  If you're a Christian, great.  So am I.  But it doesn't help your cause if you bomb abortion clinics and tell everyone you meet that they're sinners who are going to hell (especially since, according to Christianity, everyone is a sinner.  Gooooooo Pharisees!)
