Religious people. Just blindly believing what someone said to them, even if it is that far fetched is scary. espechially those who force it on others
(although there is one burning Bush I would like to see)

But seriously, if you raise a kid to believe we all live inside a huge snail's bum and he must lick 12 random people every day or a holy golf car will smite him, he will eventually believe that. thats just what happened over very many years with religion

These kind of people are annoying... I mean the kind like the writer of what I just quoted. They're so convinced that religion is just stupid and atheism is the way to go that they're just as bad as any religious fanatic.

excuse me for believing in science that has been proved instead of a book thats written by a bunch of people thousands of years ago that was so afraid of death they had to make up a religion.

No but seriously if you believe in religion, I would like to know why. have you seen something I have not? have you had an experience?
or are you just plain believing in what your parents/church/television say to you.
think about it

The most funny/annoying thing happened on a bus with another school. As the bus stopped next to a group of workers fixing something in the ground, I noticed that they were pouring liquid nitrogen (i noe it is because of all the vapour and the fact that some of the liquid nitrogen poured out of the tube and sorta formed balls and rolled away) into some long tube that goes into the ground. My friend then said 'cool ... liquid nitrogen' and then some random bogun c*nt turn around and say 'no thats not you idiot ... thats liquid ice' . My and my friend fkin burst out laugh for 5 mins straight.

If evolution (I assume that's what you're referring to) has been proved, why is it still considered a "theory"? There are still to many holes that need to be filled before you can call evolution science.  If you want to discuss this, start up a new topic and I'll see what I can do for you.

No but seriously if you believe in religion, I would like to know why. have you seen something I have not? have you had an experience?

Well, there are obviously the perks in the afterlife for being a Christian.  But aside from that, it seems logical that an ordered universe with natural laws are the product of an intelligent designer.  There are also things that are too complex (such as a butterfly's metamorphosis) to be explained away as the product of random chance.

There have been studies that shown the people who are prayed for have a higher recovery rate from disease and injury.  There have been reports of people in Africa (Ghana, I believe) who have risen from the dead.  Miracles happen all of the time, if you pay attention and do some research.

And hey, even if Christianity is totally false, and God is nothing but a myth, the social impact of Christian behavior is completely positive.  If everyone followed true Christian ideals, there would be no STDs, no drug use, no murder, no war, no poverty, no child neglect, etc.  Genuine Christians make the world a better place, and I'm happy to be a part of that.

To say if a person is religious they are blind. Well thats just plain ignorance, just because someone finds happiness through a religion don't make them stupid. And if it does make them happy who are you to questions other peoples happiness? I have seen loads of people say that their beliefs brought them happiness. Myself I would have committed suicide a long time ago if it wasn't for my religious beliefs. And if you think religious people are the only people that try to force their opinion then please... just ram your head into a wall know. Yes some idiots do, however they are stupid for trying. I have said this countless times before but it seems a few people like yourself just love to overlook it, I can't force my opinion on you and its not my place to try. About the Bush remark... please save political ignorance for later, but I am sure you are very happy with the other anti-Bush sheep. And no if a kid is raised with a religion that does not mean they will follow it, all religions require active participation on the believers part. I have seen plenty of kids raised christian go off for something else, so please stop using that argument because it is not valid at all.

Why is that so annoying Dascoo?
Because an everyday theory and a scientific theory are not the same thing.

Evolution is not proven therefore its just a theory...Gravity is proven so its a law.  You shouldnt be upset to hear someone call evolution a theory because thats all it is at the moment.

It has been observed. So no it's not just an everyday "theory".

Near the middle.

Besides that there is tons of proof.

No man... there is no middle... its either a law or a theory.  Im sure there is tons of proof but that doesnt decide wheather or not its a law or a theory.  Only repeated tests with an undeniable conclusion can decide that.

And t I do not deny anyone of their happiness. If you want to believe that your toilet made the world and it makes you happy, sure go ahead. but the big religions is so huge and useless I just have to say something.
Christian ways of life I agree on. The stuff with beeing nice and all, but it ends there. I would wish that people would stop giving their hard earned money to "Praiseh teh loaard.. Comeh witeh youre moneh and youuu shall bee saaaaveeedeh" and all other such things religion has brought forth.

I know.  Millions.  But that hardly makes it right, and it's definitely not an approach recommended by the Bible.

What are you getting at? I'm saying Evolution is a scientific theory (DIFFERENT FROM AN EVERYDAY THEORY WHERE IT'S JUST A GUESS). You are saying Evolution is "just a theory" which is isn't.

O yes and there is a middle of that webpage, all you have to do is scroll down half way and you're there.

.... >.> I don't know why you think religion and money go hand in hand but its a dumb notion. About people killing over religious beliefs... again you overlook me saying its not a christians place to force their beliefs. However if you want to make a list of things people were killed over so you can shun it... lets start one:
Land
Freedom
Money

By your logic all these things are now evil and should be shunned into the dark.

Besides that there is tons of proof.

There's only interpretation of facts.

You could say that fish have gills because they adapted to live in the water.  Or you could say that they're like that because it wouldn't work any other way.  You could say that the Grand Canyon was produced by a river over millions of years, or you could say that it was produced in a very short time by the Genesis Flood.

Evolution is an illogical extrapolation of our observances.  Yes, there are both saltwater and freshwater crocodiles.  But this is simply a variation.  Saying that these variations proved that, at one time, all animals were related is analogous to saying that since a baby grew from two feet to six feet, it will keep growing indefinitely.  Natural processes have their limits, and the limits of variation and adaptation stop short of producing new kinds of animals.  THAT has never been observed.
