Don't know when the next update will be, but, here's a neat suggestion:

The ability to view only a certain type of polygon! Meaning, I could uncheck 'normal', but still see 'doesn't collide' (and any other type still checked).

Would make some stuff more conveniant, but if it doesn't get added, oh well. =O

And because I know some of you use a different word...

Check = Tick
Uncheck = Untick

I dunno if it has been suggested before, but please add a "Create Poly"-mode where the poly is ONLY textured with the area of the texture chosen in the Textures window (As managed as in the Quad-mode).

Nevertheless waaay better than mapmaker, corresponding to the controls, the workspace arrangement (this is really handy) and of course the lighting functions, I knew PW was the right choice.  [retard]

I tried doing the command prompt and enteres regsvr32 MBMouse.ocx.
It failed resulting in

The module "MBMouse.ocx" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80004005.

This same error occured with registering all of the files.

So I'm left again polyworksless.[/s]

Scratch that.

Changing the dimension of your map is easy. Make sure you have your vertice select tool chosen from the tool window, turn off scenery, then go Edit-Select All, in your map properties window enter your percentages for x and y scale. You have to enter one at a time, so set the amount for x first and hit enter, then do the same for y. Remember tho, this will scale your texture. Come to think of it, I haven't ever scaled a poly with texture turned off. I'll have to try that in a bit to find out if it affects the texture. hmm...

Gdi+ is a microsoft graphics component. Either you're using Win2k or an older version of WinXP. To fix this problem should be quite easy. Go to a site like www.dlldump.com and get it there. Then install. Tho, I read on another forum that you install it into the program's directory, not the system folder. For Polyworks, I couldn't tell ya there. I'm just starting programming, so I'm not knowlegable enough about dlls, yet. However - trial and error, one of the directories should fix it.

Problem with multi-texturing:

When I select part of the texture, and press ctrl-f (or fix texture) it shows the whole texture, not just that part i wanted. Messing with the texture alignment in the tool box has had very poor resaults and is not time efficient, and the texture tool just moves or warps the texture.

I think I'd have a good suggestion for a good new feature for working w/ textures:
First you select which polygons to work on (full polygons).  Then you click on the texture-tool: at the most-left corner of the polygon a square-ouitline pops-up the size of the texture.  Now you can drag the sides of this square and the texture will be stretched accordingly on all the selected polygons.

I think this would make texture-stretching a little easier for most people to do.  Perhaps you could also make it so you can copy and paste the square-position of a polygon's texture so you can apply it to another polygon (and make changes to only IT).
Also, shouldn't it be possible to copy and paste polygons and/or scenery (and light)?
Can't think of anything original to put here...

Id also like to see the multi texturing to be easier (@Heen: You also need to use Textured Quad option for poly's for it to be one texture), i guess a simple way would be to select the poly's to change then maybe have a tool to assign what part of the texture?

@zyxstand: You can copy and paste a poly or scenery not sure about lighting, select what you want to copy then hit Ctrl + V and then it copies what was selected.

Hello, a few months ago i got PW to work on my XP computer, but have since bought a Vista one. I have the latest version of directx, and have all the correct dlls (original error was that i was missing a dll from system 32). However, whenever i try running PW, i get "Direct 3d initialization failed. Error creating 3d objects. Activex component cant create object." I click OK, then "Error loading. Error initializing DInput. Object variable or With block variable not set" clicking OK again opens up a black PW (interfaces are there), but it says "Object variable or With variable not set" many times. Maximizing PW and getting a runtime error is the only way to close it.

Does it just not work on vista?

Thanks
