I updated battleeye just a few minutes ago, and now I'm getting kicked from servers saying 'Failed to update'. This is really pissing me off, since I can't even play a cw without getting kicked :S

Do you run Windows 98?

If not, check what pink BE messages come up until you are kicked.

It says "COuld not change update file name" or something like that, then it says BE client: initalized.

Are you sure? Check if there is a .new file in your BattlEye folder.

Could you delete the file and join a server again.

Make sure you really dont miss any BE errors.

It says battleeye client initialized. That's all.

I did, it's 10kb.
It just says battleeye violation: Failed to update
Nothing until I am kicked though.

Its always 10kb and you dont get an error, thats pretty weird.

Do you have problems with your internet connection?
Ah, and you dont use hacks?

Well if your connection always only downloads 10kb and you dont get an error - that doesnt make sense (maybe try again).

Btw, the BE update you downloaded here was installed successfully? Your .dll file should have 16/06/2007 as change date then.

How would you fix this error with my connection?

It doesnt make sense as I said, so I dont know how.
Do you use a firewall or something?

Could you try this one more time (deleting the .new file before) and report if its 10kb again (report the real size in bytes found in file properties)?

Size : 16,408 bytes
Size on disk: 20,480 bytes.
Does that help?
This is with the firewall off.
