I updated battleeye just a few minutes ago, and now I'm getting kicked from servers saying 'Failed to update'. This is really pissing me off, since I can't even play a cw without getting kicked :S

Do you run Windows 98?

If not, check what pink BE messages come up until you are kicked.

It says "COuld not change update file name" or something like that, then it says BE client: initalized.

Are you sure? Check if there is a .new file in your BattlEye folder.

Could you delete the file and join a server again.

Make sure you really dont miss any BE errors.

I did, it's 10kb.
It just says battleeye violation: Failed to update
Nothing until I am kicked though.

Its always 10kb and you dont get an error, thats pretty weird.

Do you have problems with your internet connection?

Well if your connection always only downloads 10kb and you dont get an error - that doesnt make sense (maybe try again).

Btw, the BE update you downloaded here was installed successfully? Your .dll file should have 16/06/2007 as change date then.

It doesnt make sense as I said, so I dont know how.
Do you use a firewall or something?

Could you try this one more time (deleting the .new file before) and report if its 10kb again (report the real size in bytes found in file properties)?

Size : 16,408 bytes
Size on disk: 20,480 bytes.
Does that help?

Have the same problem.

Everything was working fine since today... I installed vista $:-\$ unfortunately

Yeah and now soldat kicks me every 5 mins.

These are the messages I get:

BattleEye Client: Update successful completed. Restarting...
BattleEye Client: Initialized

shortly after this message I get kicked out. I tried to ping soldat.battleye.com and it was working just fine, something around 200ms.

Hope you find a solution soon.

PS. I have no .new file neither in soldat nor in Battleeye dir?!?

I did what it said in your link and I get another error:
The application or DLL C:\Soldat\BattlEye\BEClient_X86.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

Copy & paste this: "ping soldat.battleye.com" - not battleeye!!!

You can also try "ping soldat.battleye.com -t" to run it longer to see if some packets go through. Report back then.

This comes up:
If you are seeing this page while trying to access the Official Soldat Forums, then you are a victim of DNS caching. The Soldat Forums are in the process of being moved back to their original server since the hardware failure, and DNS changes are propagating to reflect the move. Did you make sure, that your Soldat/BattlEye has full access in your firewall?

There simply isnt a reason why it shouldnt work.

well in 1.4.2 you wont be kicked for 24 hours

. anyway are you sure you do not have any firewalls on? it did be my only guess that some fire wall is on. or your ISP may block soldat.battleye.com for some reason.

Weird thing... I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it to c:/soldat (previously I had it in c:/program files/soldat) and installed batttleeye as admin and also run also admin and everything worked fine... for one hour... then again I got kicked.

Well 1h is better than 5mins

However now when I want to run soldat form normal account it does not even start $:-\$
garrrghh but I blame vista.

Take Vista, put the install CD through a paper shredder, and put XP back on your box.

But you didnt reinstall Soldat right? Could you check the change (not creation!) date of your BEClient_x86.dll?
