Xbox 360 controller
« on: July 17, 2007, 04:16:52 pm »
Ok i got my xbox 360 2 weeks ago and i got the one that has the wireless controller and the controller was working fine. Then yesterday i took out the battries from the controller and put them into my GBA. Then i took the battries and put them back into the controller and today when i tried to turn on my xbox with the controller the xbox wouldn't turn on. The controllers X button wouldn't even glow green. So i made sure everything was hooked up corretly and i turned on the xbox with the consoles button. And it turned on. But my xbox controller wont work. My battries in the controller are still full, i checked on my GBA. So wtf is the matter with my controller? Or is it my battries?

Well I know for remote controls, you're not supposed to leave them without batteries for too long or the remote won't work, because it looses it's memory or something. It could be the same for wireless controllers.

my wii controller would malfunction because of crappy batteries, putting in some of good ol Duracell fixed that right up.

a GBA likely will work on batteries that have less charge than needed for the xbox controllers.  Phrased differently, batteries that are too dead for the xbox controller could have plenty of charge for the GBA.  Read your xbox manual, or the instructions for the controllers.  There are probably steps to take to have the controller re-associate with the xbox.

But the charge is still very high. I once had a similar problem with a remote control race car too. Every time i turned the race car off or took out the battries, the car wouldn't work no more. I put the batrries in for like 5 min into my GBA. Plus i don't really use my xbox that much. i barerly play on it once a week, since halo 3 isn't out yet.

No! Don't waste money on batteries! Use a potato and stick wires out of it, if it gives you any problems just boot up linux on your potato.

Buy a play and charge kit, you'll save loads in the long run.
