Why did you choose the [insert your denomination here] denomination of Christianity?

But isn't it unfair because God was the one who spilt us and our beiliefs. There is no way that he can get all of us back now. Because childeren born into a religion, usaully stay in that religion. A child is like a blank piecie of paper anything you write on it with pen usaully sticks and most of the time does stick, but not all the time. So what im trying to say is that why should we go to hell for something we didn't even do? Plus if God loves us why would he send us to hell. Also i'm a good person. I thought that God was a kind of a person that looks at what kind of deeds you do.
Fair... just because everyone doesn't get exactly what they want 24/7 doesn't mean its not fair. Being a good person is relative, I have used this explanation before somewhere... I am sure  Hilter thought he was a good person, doesn't make him one. God gave us a choice to follow Him or not. Each person decides for themselves and reaps whatever may come of their choice. God will not reach everyone, because some people simply don't want to believe in God. God loves everyone and is actively trying to keep everyone from hell, which I have said before. Btw where did God split us?

Why did you choose the [insert your denomination here] denomination of Christianity?
I have no denomination. I am kinda like the hippy of the Christian beliefs, I just didn't like how cold and heartless people in most denominations sounded.

What about babies that die when they are 2 days old?  They didnt have time to accept God or Jesus or who ever.  Do they go to hell?
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
Ill see you on the dark side of the moon

As do I.  Heaven is a place free from sin; we're only excluded from it BECAUSE we have sinned.  Two day old babies don't have a chance to sin, so they go to heaven.

EDIT: I'd try to look up verses for you guys, but the last time I tried to reply, 9 new posts were made.  This means I have to be brief.

I thought we were excluded from heaven because we didnt accept God or Jesus... if we were excluded becasue we sinned then noone would go to heaven.

Those are the same thing really, accepting Jesus means he took your place in death.

Yes, that is what I was taught.
"Jesus died because of our sins, so we must accept jesus as our saviour or burn in hell" is exactly how my pastor put it.

Hebrews somewhere: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life."

Let me try to find some more verses.  The basic idea is that when Jesus died, he took all of our sin upon himself.  "Washed white as snow" the Bible says; this is the same Bible that claims all of our good works are as dirty rags to God.  So Jesus is willing to take our sins for us, as he defeated death, but we need to accept that gift.  It's the sin that keeps us from entering heaven though.

Well, yes, that's because anyone comprehending that statement had sinned.  If there was a perfect person in the world, he could go to heaven.

EDIT: I don't suppose any of you are on IRC right now? It would make discussion much easier...

Man, are (were?) you Southern Baptist?

And I don't know where this sinning gets you into hell thing came around. But the Christianity I know teaches us that we are all sinners.

That would be the Bible.  2 Peter has the most explicit mention of it, I believe...let me see if I can dig up the verse.

No, I'm not, I was actually non-denom, but I seriously question my first pastor's sanity.
I am currently abstaining from choosing a church.

Instead of abstaining, try searching around until you find a pastor that preaches a good, Bible-based message.  The fellowship of believers is crucial if you want to develop your faith.

That's the only thing that makes us Christian.  Everyone sins, but Christians have the assurance that we will be saved from our sin.  And really, that's all there is to Christianity.  Anyone who tells you that they are a Christian simply because they go to church, or simply because they donate to charity, is dead wrong.

Your post implies that you believe that there are non-Christians who have never sinned.  If this was the case, they would go to heaven, despite not being Christians (the definition here being "one who has accepted Jesus as his or her savior").   But I challenge you to find a single person who is sinless.  The Bible says that in Adam all men sin, and it also says that no man is holy.  It's pretty clear about that.

No problem; I added another paragraph to account for it.

Yeah your right there isn't any person that isn't sinless, but isn't that saying that Christians can sin all they want and God will forgive them even if they sin on purpose? But i think most people become christian because of the fact that they are going to hell if they don't become Christians. Also isn't Christainity saying that all other religions are wrong except Christianity and is the only way to go because if you don't belive in Jesus you will go to hell?
