This was a knife CTF server. It was a 3 versus 3 match, and both teams were fighting well.
After a few minutes into the game, both teams had 4 points each, leaving only one point left to win the game. I was in BRAVO TEAM.
I was the main killer of the team, as I was killing two players at any time I met them. DOUBLE KILL. DOUBLE KILL. TRIPLE KILL. I had to compensate for a fellow teammate who seemed as if he just learned to throw the knife. If I let them enter into the base even once, they would definitely get the flag.
I was the sole defender.
My second teammate was as good as me, and he was fast and accurate. I left the attacking to him, and he was doing a great job.
Unfortunately all 3 of the enemy were decent knifers. They moved fast, and threw their knives with precision.
There was only one factor that distinguished my knife prowess over them. I was unpredictable.
I would move in strange ways, suddenly duck-jet, suddenly backflip, and avoid blazing blades flying all over my face. And I always made sure I had two blades with me.
60 seconds left in the game. 59 seconds.
I was killed with a stab in the back, as I was eating and chewing one of them. It was 3 on 1. Two players managed to get into my base. My weak teammate was slaughtered by two knifes, one aimed at his head, the other, to his balls. Ouch.
I looked at the kill log, my trusty second teammate was also killed recently. The two attackers were ready to leave the base and cap for victory. Damn it. No !!!
They wasted seconds picking up their knife instead of rushing to their own base, and I ran as fast as I could to return the flag as soon as I respawned. One of my enemy knew what I was thinking, and stayed back to stop my attack, while his Friendly Flag Carrier friend was running away. He knew what I could do.
I could imagine him yelling to his teammate,
Enemy : "GO DAMN IT GO !! I'll STOP LONEWOLF !!"
EFC : "No ! I won't leave you behind !"
Enemy : "I SAID GO, DAMN IT !!!!"
EFC : "Alright........!!"
I had no choice but to kill the enemy who stayed back, as he was blocking my way. He jetted up and down, in a threatening defensive way. I jetted forward and threw my knife into his eyeballs before he could even release his knife.
The EFC saw the demise of his teammate, as I flew nearer and nearer to him.
40 seconds left.
I ran and jetted like crazy to chase the EFC. Superman style.
I could see that he was nervous, as he was getting stuck on the corners of the map. His movements were slow. I took this as an opportunity to run ahead of him. Sadly, I had no knife. NO WEAPON. Just my fists.
Worse still, there were two enemies waiting and defending their flag, waiting for their precious FFC to return. I should know, I killed them myself. They should've spawned by now. My teammates probably just spawned in BRAVO base. Once again, I am alone.
I went into the RED base, took the flag, did a back flip, Rolled here and there, making them throw their knives into the spot of land a few inches away from my head. I picked up the knife, and tried to kill the EFC as I jetted away from the enemy's base. My knife-throw failed, as I hit his teammate who decided to be a meatshield.
"Damn meatshields. Damn honorable meatshields."
With no weapon in hand, I could only retreat and run back to my base. This was good enough for me, I managed to stop them from capping. A tie game is fine.
20 seconds left.
As I ran back to my base, one of the enemies gave chase. My trusty second in command flew above me, and he kept going. He knew I would not be killed by the pursuing enemy. He knew I would make it into the base. And I knew all he had in his mind was to kill the fcking EFC.
10 seconds left.
I arrived in my base, jumping and avoiding the enemy's knife. Then I stole his knife and slashed his body into two pieces. I stood on the spot where my flag used to stand.
5 seconds left.
My weak teammate was slaughtered once again. I saw it on the kill-log. Damn it.
My trusty teammate isn't dead yet !! There's a chance !! Wait for it !! Wait for it !!
3 seconds...
2 seconds...
Damn it, come on !!!! KILL THE DAMN EFC !!!
1 seconds....
My flag suddenly sprouted on the spot I stood, as I see my trusty second in command kill someone on the kill-log.
BRAVO TEAM WINS !
He managed to return the flag !
O.o !!!!
We did it !!! We won !! With a last second cap against a strong team !!
With a weak teammate handicap !!
I praised my second teammate for his skills and he did the same.
All 3 opponents in red team left the game as we complimented each other.. They were so sure that victory was theirs, and this was probably too much to bear. One lone soldier without weapons managed to steal their victory away. I'd understand. It was too much.
That was one of the greatest knife games I've had.
A true display of what good teamwork can achieve.
