Please tell me you guys realize that capitalism and communism are economic systems, and not forms of government.

communism is not an economic system :s. Communism is about equality, and not just financial.

While there are plenty of social effects arising from the implementation of a communist economy, communism at its core is an economic system based on shared ownership of property. Communist parties seek to implement a communist economy, sure, but the actual type of government is something else entirely.

Communism is an ideology that seeks to establish a classless, stateless social organization based on common ownership of the means of production. It can be considered a branch of the broader socialist movement.

thats what wikipedia says. it doesnt belong in this list, since it's not a form of government, but it's not an economic system either.

But then again... what the hell is a revolutionary government? If they stick to their beliefs, they're not revolutionary anymore, an if they don't, they're useless

Socialism= no economy, so I don't like it, plain and simple. High taxes and the rich paying for people who don't work just ain't my cup of tea.

Yeah, but does Canada have any economy, no. Does any socialism, no. On paper, everyone sharing sounds great, but in reality it hardly does. There is no incentive for the people to work because they know they will always have a job. And people with jobs hardly have experience becuase since there is almost no economy, less is needed. For example, I have a friend who works for an RPO company (they assess people on how well they will do the job and their recomendation) People like engineers don't have as much experience because they haven't held a job for more than 6 months becuase there is nothing to build. Taxes are very high in socialisms so they can pay for their "free" health care; it isn't free, you just pay for it over time. They simply aren't as good as other forms of government.

LtKillroy... As far as I know, the canadian economy is much better than the american, since the american economy has sunken through the bottem of the ocean.

Oh yeah, our economy in America sucks
http://www.mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/world-top-ten-gross-domestic-countries-map.html And canada's great economy, it even has the top ten GDP of the world.
Another source
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)
According to this, the ENTIRE EU barely has more GDP than a single country.

hurray for capitalism! The dream of wealth and power drives people onward to continue building, continue manufacturing and, with the mind and work ethic you might be able to retire early.

You'd be surprised what happens in a couple of years of anarchy. Crime is rampant, streets break down, no schools, the whole thing degenerates. No one builds new or replaces things, and your country is turned third world very soon. Cities are hit worse becuase soon all the stores are sacked and many things are destroyed when there are no laws. I think anarchy is the most short minded government with no regard to criminals, no government building things, and other things of that nature.
