Story Line:

It had been several days since his last maintenance and his optical implant was starting to relay slower. This was due to the lack of sleep in the past 85 hours, and John Doe knew this but still he pressed on against the wind, leg dragging ever so slightly.

Stillness.

John Doe looks down toward his right leg, it was getting heavy, he knew why or at least that’s what he told himself, he hated not knowing.

His commands finally caught up to his optical implant, and it relayed the message in bold Green letters. Temperature -67F, he stopped stood perfectly straight and waited a moment. The other command finally displayed too, it was a bio readout

His right leg was on fire, and three of the toes on his left food, had frost bite.
With a terrible lung grading sigh, John Doe bent forward took three deep breaths, blinked three times and continued walking forward, the mark was just ahead about 27 miles, “no time at all…” he thought.

Years of being the governments P.E.T. (performance enhancement testers) had destroyed his lungs, stomach lining and liver. But not his mind, his mind was gone long before then.

Pulled in off the streets, kicking and screaming….well not screaming….
That day, 20 some odd years ago…..

An officer, with what appeared to be no face came into vision looking sideways at John Doe from a podium talking with another officer.

“Eh Frank got another drugie, don’t know what to do, he's come up clean for all the tests but he's out of it man”

Frank examines Kruxar closely lifting his arms above his head and letting them drop to his side, checking his pupils, they are dilated.

“You sure he's not dead? I do see your point though, get an id and book him lets get some next of kin in here” Frank remarked.

Frank presses a clipboard onto the officers chest, “I'm swamped take care of it would ya?”

John Doe heard the officer grunt, “Its 10 till Frank I want to get out of here a-sap”

John Doe answered the questions the best he could, his name and age. To him that’s all there was.
The police put him up for the night while the more extensive tests came back from labs.

While he was imprisoned he reflected upon the night he had just had. All the while you would think he's trying to find something he dropped, he took in the floor, walls, bars then his fellow inmates, though it was only for the night he knew what it was like to be confined with convicts. He's had to defend himself more than once.

Aware, this was how he liked it completely aware of his surroundings. Most would call it paranoia; this was just the way he made himself comfortable, anywhere.

Then it all faded away, that one shred, that one night…was all he had.

The mark was 7 miles off, John Doe had to stop again the cold was finally getting to him.

According to the Bio read out on his optical implant, his leg was starting to draw more energy and head than needed from other parts of the body. While he felt nothing due to the numerous neural surgery and nervous system remaps while being a P.E.T. He knew this was a bad sign.

Walking toward the side of this snow-caked road Kruxar sat down on a stump, no doubt cut for fire wood.

Closing his eyes John Doe took three deep breaths. Looking down he threw back his long trench coat to revel very warn looking jeans.

Shrugging and looking around “Not like I'm in the city” John Doe thought to himself. John Doe grabbed a hold of the right pant leg of his very warn out jeans and tore with as little force as one would use to hold a tissue.

Jeans now in shreds John Doe bent low over his right leg a biomechanical upgrade one of the biggest ones that P.E.T. ever had him test. Along with his eyes these “upgrades” are hardwired into him, never to be removed. The nervous system remaps were to compensate for all the new hardware wired into him. They did lots of things wrong, and lots of things right. Some times John Doe wonders if his memory loss was intentional or accidental.

John Doe opens up the panel in his leg, the side maintenance panel. It took a while but he found the problem, after looking over all the circuitry, an almost immediate, instinctive motion. Before he knew it there was a socket wrench in his hand and a mini welder, moving toward the problem area. John Doe didn’t know why, but he just let it happen. With out even thinking about it, or knowing, it just happened, like he was programmed to do it.

Problem fixed, standing up John Doe, now in shorts pulled his trench coat closer against the cold he continued on, the mark only 7 more miles. The Squeaky sound which irritated him so, finally became a thing of the past.

The optic implant which was still 3 minutes and 37 seconds slow on his command reading and executing, could not be fixed until he was able to sleep, and power down. His left leg, unlike his right was, to his knowledge all his own. John Does left arm the one you never see, is actually biomechanical as well. It was the last of his upgrades. It was a standard military issue biomechanical upgrade, but it had stealth technology graphed into the plating, now it camouflages it self, on will. John Doe finds it more than aggravating while trying to shoot a gun, when the gun disappears.

It’s getting late, so late it’s almost early. Optical implants indicate that the marks house is only about a half a mile away. John Doe looks up and stands straight, tall at 6”7, and larger than a man you would expect to see, but after being with the military for so long, it’s not surprising. He didn’t remember his training at all, he knew the training. Like it was just as hardwired into him as the implants it was all he knew as if he were breathing and blinking it was just something he did, like a machine.

The landscape around the marks house was dank and muddy terrain, as far as the eye could see, a field of mud and dead crops, a grave yard of these families hopes for a bountiful harvest. Then the forest the fabled “Forest of Kings”, next to the field, the forest was all around him, not behind the house but to the side of it, the right side.

John Doe made a mental note to ask one of the residents, what the name of the forest meant. It killed him not knowing.

The marks house was coming into clear view now; it was a 1st century gothic Victorian. Nicely restored he thought the outside was painted white, as custom.

John Doe reached into the inside of his coat pocket, he pulled out 3 needles of Epinephrine 1 amp each. “Time to paint these walls red” John Doe thought. Silently pulling up the sleeve of his right arm, he pushed the razor sharp tip of the needle slowly into his skin. Because of the neural upgrades his optics were communicating the damages he was causing his skin my slowly pushing a needle through himself, tearing through as he went, veins, muscle, till his hearts content.

A Pause

Quickly he shot the Epinephrine into his arm and pulled the needle out. Taking a deep breath this time, feeling it fill him up, he could taste the new power he felt lighter.

Thanks to several neural remaps and some organs and glands that did not belong to him, John Doe cannot produce adrenalin and there for must inject the artificial equivalent.

The second needle he placed into the jugular vain of his neck, not too deep.
A Pause, A breath.

He shot the epinephrine straight into his jugular. Feeling his grip steadily become stronger but more unstable he dropped the now empty needles and proceeded to lift his shirt. Now at the front door of the marks house, he shot the Epi right into his heart. With about a half life of 2 minutes on the epinephrine, John Doe kicked the door down, and walked in. Turning to the left he walked into the living room around the corner, no one was in sight. No one, except for the mark. Sitting alone in a chair, drinking something that looked alcoholic, and smelled like it died, a long time ago.

So if anyone wants to help at all please let me know

i have all jobs open

That's a good question, do you have some sort of engine that you will be using, or are you planning on making a completely new engine from scratch?

So eh...

You have made some weapons with some 3D blender software, ok, cool.

Which grapchics library are you going to use? Which language are you going to use? Which sound library are you going to use? What about compiler? Which IDE? How much do you have programming experience? How much code have you done this far?

Ok, seriously, I'm going to be a part of this.. I'll make the engine.

EDIT: Actually, I've made a beta engine before.. no joke, it was similiar to quake 3, quake 4. Its used for sci-fi shooters.. My engine is called NeuXs.. you can use it if you want.

The money will be for a fps creative system which will not only make the development faster it will also make the game play alot smoother than if you was to do it in something else. So far we need a name.

Flacid Suggest- Kraxor
Duck Suggest- Alien War Front

So you decide.

Are you ****ing serious? You gave him money and he hasn't done anything to prove that he will get anything done? And what NK Soldier was talking about is the game called Nexuiz, I think. Proves a point that you are giving him money for nothing, and that you don't know what you are talking about. Another point which proves that is that the name is not necessary for a game.. It will be the last thing that is added to a game. What do you need name for if you don't have any code done yet?

i do know what C++ os my bro is taking a class on it in school now

no its neither of those
Why don't you tell us what it is then?

Were going to be Using FPS Creator, for the coding but using our Weapons Rooms, levels, characters , sounds and what not

were just using it as our easy programming system

Deranged Duck is currently running to the store to see what programs can be used to help with this

me and Deranged Duck are good friends lol

Well, I don't really see any relation between Q3/Q4 engine and Nexuiz.. Q4 uses modified Doom3 Engine AFAIK, and Nexuiz uses Darkplaces, a heavily modified Q1 engine.

If it was easy to make a good FPS game, then I guess there would be a lot more of them?

What kind of software are you planning to buy with 22$?
