Is it me, or is Soldat like riding a bike?

You'd think that walking into a server after not playing for about 6 months you would be lousy and everybody would be just be killing you left and right. Well..I ended up with 3 caps and died only 3 times in a 10 cap match... Has anyone else experienced something similar?  And is it me or are the n00bs getting worse...

Okay sir, I'm taking your advice and going into a gather. I'm guessing people are supposed to know how to play in those.       Well i just played and didn't do so great.. So Onegram 1 Hiei 0....I tip my metaphoric hat to you sir.

Heres my solution to your problem:

Step 1: Make some friends who are in clans
Step 2: get into one of said clans
Step 3: Hang out in private servers with clanmates/friends
Step 4: gj, you are now out of the dark public ages.

ah lol who says ppl suck when they dont play for a while, its just an excuse most ppl say cause they are not doing well in their score, and apparently their score is almost the same as the time they left soldat for however long. maybe a little worst than before, but still there.

Gathers are a great way to improve if you arent in a clan so have no cw's. You also can get yourself a rep and then get into s good clan, then play cw's and gathers :D

Gets who wins a warning for unwanted flaming! Soldatik. Do that again and you double your warning score.

And indeed Hiei, get your ass on gather. sna.gather, #soldat.gather... make your choice. Though indeed, Soldat is very much like riding a bike - even the zero hand skillz come back after a month.

I recommend sna.gather as you are north american, ping wise and it's always good to have more people looking for a gather. :D

Indeed, 1-2 hours is more then enough.. Few days even without Soldat, you should be able to gain and keep the skill you have for a few days Despair..

Man, I ain't played in a while, and I just came back, and I'm absolute garbage. It's frustrating as hell. My only satisfaction comes from finding ridiculous camping spots and popping out of the ground to blow peoples heads off. Yeah, that's right, my skills have degraded to the point that I'm camping, and I used to be a full-time auto user.

While it's a bit more difficult in the clan scene to make such a miraculous comeback from such a long period of inactivity, it's still true to a certain extent. Usually when I return from breaks, I find that I perform better an hour after playing than immediately before I left. And then slowly I sink back into the abyss....

So that's why you play once a month eh!

Anyways, i've experienced the same: soldat is 10 times more enjoyable (and easy) if you play one match every 2 or 3 days...
