Legos
« on: July 21, 2007, 10:44:55 pm »
Yeah, I know. Kinda strange, huh? Yeah, I'm one of those kids with a prominent wrist-bone and can build and fix legos at a speed never imagined before. I built the Imperial Star Destroyer in two days, and it was about 3,100 pieces.

Lego pirate ships were an attraction, and so were the ninja fortresses, but alas, that was a long time ago...now they're in the old lego shop magazines and in the archives.

I loved legos... I have a bunch of random ones in a box underneath my bed. I got sets from the store to create, but after I built them I took them apart and mix and matched my pieces to create more stuff. I haven't gone back to them in years... It actually encourages creativity. One day I might even start buying them again. :3

I did as well.

I found this:
http://ldd.lego.com/

Lego Digital Designer. It lets you build stuff out of legos on your computer, an unlimited amount of legos at your disposal, And, if you make something you REALLY want to have, you can submit it to Lego's site, and buy a kit with everything you need.

Wow, I just tried the Lego Digital Designer and it's actually harder to use then using real Legos because it takes up more time trying to stack things. Although, it's very convenient in the sense of "Unlimited amounts of almost any brick type".

many kid's toys are "for all ages", that does not mean it is normal to be playing with them as an adult

You misunderstand for all ages

Meaning it is normal for any age to play with them.

Plus alot of the people around here arent "adults".  And even if they are so what?

Yeah, old LEGO ftw. Although, I never really thought LEGO Technic was "real" LEGO... (and Bionicle is definitely NOT LEGO)

I had two boxes 50cm by 50cm by 100cm full of legos, and when I think bout it, I really loved em, especially the "Rockriders". Currently I have a motorbike and a remote-controlled car, LEGOs of course :)

I used to love lego as a kid... I was a real sucker for the space sets.... like spyrius and ufo

I miss those days when I could just tip out a massive box of mixed up lego parts all over the floor and spend all day building something awesome.
