Mouse Sensitivity
« on: January 26, 2009, 12:42:09 am »
Okay...This is weird, and unorthodox. Basically when i join a server my mouse sensitive is normal, but when i start shooting & even after i shot it seems like my sensitivity dropped down by 40%...i'm at 60 now, & it goes down to like 20-30...WTF? I've I'm not exactly sure what to do...It just started recently in a cw, and i found that i couldn't move the cross fire across the screen normal, i'd have to lift up my mouse a couple of times to get it across... lol it's retarded, wtf xD

Uninstalling doesn't work either...I thought it was my mouse but it's fine, it's just after i first shoot the mouse sensitivity drops

Another Edit:

I reinstalled soldat, & also reinstalled my server, & it works fine now, atleast on my server it does. But not on any other servers like fracs :S could it possibly be the BE Update? because it didn't start until BE updated for me today :S

I KNOW!! I experienced the exact same thing!! It pissed me off so bad. I tried changing my mouse sensitivity by 50%. Then I kept bashing my mouse to see if that was the problem, then I changed to my cordless laser mouse and it seems to have fixed the problem...although it still is a bit weird. I got so pissed off, cos i couldnt move that well!!

Another way to fix an aimbot. I didn't notice any difference though.

Do you also get a FPS drop when it happens?

My guess is that you hook onto the mouse to check if they really are aiming where the netcode say they aim ie preventing aimbot.
I had similar problem(mouselag) when hooking the mouse a couple of years ago the problem then was that I put the logic in the actual hook which slowed down the mouse hook queue, anyways what I did was that I created a separate thread with the logic and the hook just added the mousedata to a queue and called a semaphore that thread was listening to let it know there was new data.

I deleted the files at the application data for testing reasons and I forgot to back up. I do get an error every time I start soldat, but I don't have this problem. (I have no idea if this has anything to do with this)
