What is the nicest thing another player has said/done to you?

Yesterday when a player told me "Wow, you're a prodigy" after I had just escaped from three hungry Alpha players, made it all the way to my base and scored with almost 0% health, it sounded really unique and sweet.

I used to be against the throw-flag upgrade (it more like throw-away-your-responsibility), but when I saw there are some nice team players that toss the enemy flag back to you after you have been killed, my opinion changed about it.

Have you got any nice compliments from other players? Has one of your team players done something good to you in game?

The nicest thing that anybody has ever done to me is one time in a race server, i was getting my ass kicked, and my opponent stopped and let me catch up. But other than that, everybody is a douche.

no one has ever said/done anything nice to me. although they have on other games. but i can't remember what they were.

It's great when you're like, Oh ****, I missed a Barrett shot, and you know you're screwed, but outta nowhere pops out a teammate to save your ass, not because he wants the score, but to really save yer rear.

Other than that, I've had good experiences with give-back flag caps.
And all the support I have from my clannies; that's always a great thing to have behind you.

I've had my ass saved a bunch of times when I either miss a barrett shot or a knife throw. Probably because they want me to grab the flag myself.

The best thing a player has done for me was call me a noob and pay me out for the first time I joined a server. It really got me into soldat and gave me the motivation to get better so I could kick his ass one day.

The nicest thing anyone has ever said to me was when I was in u13 CTF and Snowden wanted me to help his team win because it was filled with nabs. Felt so proud, lol.

I got in the server, then Snow says "thank god someone useful on my team, lets do this thing cappy!" or something like that, yeah it was pretty lame but meh.

But I always give the flag to another person, whether it was mine or not. I don't like capping

Hmm... I've gotten really p*ssed off lately with people just ignoring me when I've got the flag. They run past me while I shout "Backup please!" and "Help" and "Come back here you f**cking coward!", etc.

Lately when I play soldat, I am playing with one of my neighbors so we talk on the phone like its ventrillo. We always back eachother up and we are usually in 1st and 2nd places on most maps we play on. He's saved my ass many a times, and I've returned the favor. It's great when we just charge in together and take out the whole enemy team by ourselves xD

Every time I see Sgt. Kraken on a pub, we make time to drop our weapons and hug for a while. He said he'd kill me if that got out, but he's a seriously nice guy and I don't think he posts here anyway.

Well i get nice words about me quite often now. Started to collect quotes about me because its quite fun to read them again and again sometimes. The nicest word from all of them, i have, where these, though some of them only have a nice meaning about me, not a direct compliment:

And nicest things players (teammates) do are when they reach enemy flag first, and if i'm right behind them, they just run past the flag and let me capture it while they draw enemies attention and stop them.  <---- teamwork

That is probably the nicest thing that any Soldat player has actually done for me in-game. I often throw the flag back to my clan mates as well if they die right before they're about to cap, as long as it won't risk losing it.

Try throwing the flag back to other players that have lost it and watch their reactions. They're almost always vocal about their appreciation. It seems to be one of those universal nice things that can be done for other players in Soldat. The points aren't that big of a deal to me, but the gesture goes a long way.

I never do that..I have made my rough opinion like this: if you die carrying flag - that means you failed..and don't whine about that its your flag because you captured it in the first place. I gain points only for team...not for myself. If i die carrying flag, i always shout on team chat that to him to score, not to wait till i respawn. And i saw many times when a players throws flag just to give it back to a player, who captured it first, but flag flies past him, he doesn't see it, players start to panic trying to give it back to first flag carrier and suddenly enemy lands from the sky and returns the flag....everyone goes man and yells on each other.

And thats what i always say to a player who gets mad for not giving him flag back:"you died - you failed"


Oh and speaking of flag responsibility....another nice thing is when teammates escort me to base holding my back all the time because many players just leave flag carrier alone to reach base.

Best moments when playing 1on1's with people I know. No whine, usually no running away or camping with barrett, and after round no just simple "gg :f" and leaving the server, but actually thanking for the fair and fun game and maybe doing some more rounds for fun.

Same applies for CW. No whining, no spraying, just fair playing without whining and stuff like that, and actually telling that the game was good and fun to play.

Sadly, this ain't happening too much nowadays.
