Animated Gifs in Soldat

Does it work? I've tested regular gifs as gostek pieces, and at least in 1.3.1 (1.4.1 doesn't work for me for reasons unknown) it works. But what about animated pieces?

I don't think Soldat supports animated Gifs. It does almost-fully support PNGs though (no png support on Objects, yuk).

The Soldat support txts that were installed with 1.4.1 only mentioned PNG support.

I haven't tried because my GIF animator doesn't work.
If it can be done i'd be bothered to get a new one.

i've tried this once by switching ammo.bmp with an animated gif - it didn't work
however, i think it's possible to get non animated gifs work by changing the extension
