i remember when i was new, and was a noob. i used the noob cannon (the minigun

) all the time. i kept getting kicked, and people kept calling me a noob. but then i realised, that i wasn't doing a good job killing anyone with it. so i started switching up the guns i use, i learned all these jumping skills, and i started to get better at INF, CTF, duck hunt, and realistic mode, i started using the M79 more, and i learned how to use the LAW. eventually. people stopped calling me a noob, and my game playing skills improved greatly.

please. discuss about the time when you were new here.

The noob cannon is the m79 not the minigun...

Noob its someone whos noobing around dunno whas hes doing...example:
Someone stand in the middle of a battle and just look everywhere and tryes to shoot law when he stands...now thats a nub xDD

When I played Soldat first time, I couldn't shoot LAW same as newb you mentioned :p I started playing Infiltrations... and first year with Soldat passed. Next were climb maps, some gathers, making maps and interfaces, and now Hexer.
I do miss the good ol' days.

When I started playing soldat I only used barrett and rushed with it.

Then I stopped playing with it after about 3 weeks and I got into desert eagles. Now it's still my fav weapon but I also use other ones.

It was the manual that helped me realise that you have to crouch before you are able to shoot the LAW.
However, I haven't really had any noob days while playing in the network, because it took me a few months to understand how I can connect to a server - hence, I spent my time playing against bots. Did some really nice training with 'em and when I entered a CTF server for the first time, I was pretty good.
It is not a good idea to rush into a random server when it is your first time playing, I recommend you to practice against bots first. Then you don't have to feel the pain of being kicked all the time and called a N00b.

Or you can play in a dedicated server just you and your friends who are also new to the game. You learn together.

When I first started, I thought the "LAW" was a police baton.

Minigun is also a noob cannon, because people come on to the servers and are like "ZOMG I CAN PWN WITH THAT BIG FREAKING GUN!", then they get massacred. O well, at least the new minigun is slightly better than the 1.3.1 version...But yeah, when I was a newb, I used Minigun and M79, then when i got more skilled I started using MP5. Now I use any weapon but chainsaw, knife, and minigun, but I even use those once in a while.

My first gun that i liked was HK Mp5, thne i moved onto Steyr then ak-74 then DE then Baret.
Stayed that way ever since XD

When soldat only came out, i start playing, i used
all the weapons cuz i was bored...
after a month i was VERY good at ALL the weapons
till i stuck in 1 part-" Za trickzz". i didnt knew ANYTHING
about tricks, i start killing my self with m79, i shoot
law up, and it go down and kill meÂ

i had so much fun at LEARNING those tricks
then(now 2007) im VERY bored, nothin new
and ****... i hope YOU having fun ppl
and i open always trick server if ya want comin

No gun is a fucking "noob cannon", the people who call a gun nooby are tha actual noobs.

First time when I played Soldat I kept using the m79 in Infiltration. Yup, INF was my first game. After a while though, I moved to CTF, still using the m79. Now, I play a Mix of CTF (R/S|Normal), INF, and yes I play DM.

I now use Deagles/AUG for Normal INF and CTF, Various weapons for R/S, and I pwn with AUG and Knife in DM :>
I thought Ruger sucked when I started >_>

DM with M79 all the time lolz, after expanding my options and weapons i usually use either the steyr or ruger as primary and socom or law as secondary, plus its usually CTF, INF, DM, or TDM for me...

but i do miss the good ol' days as a matter of fact,
and there are no noob/newb weapons
