Best Moment in my soldat history
« on: July 07, 2006, 08:14:04 am »
This was pretty much the most insane thing I've ever done on soldat..

Alright. Ok, I was on red (as usual) and I went to get the blue flag. There were about 3 blues camping around the flag so I Sniped all of them lol!

It gets better

After I killed them, they respawned and my teammate captured the blue flag and went off to get us some points. My other bud shot a M79 explosive at one of the freshly respawns who was very close to me (before that point I was in midair) Friendly Fire was off so I went flying across the map (undamaged) from the force of the M79.

It gets much better

Now, in midflight, I saw a blue (with our flag) about to snipe my red buddy (who also had their flag). He shot and killed him (he was in midair) and then I shot and killed him (still all in midair). On my speeding flight downwards, I returned the flag, captured the blue flag, and scored in about a 1.5 second interval (almost in a perfect arch too).

It was so beautiful, I cried.

Shortly after, I was M79'd and killed.

Gunning someone down in midair with a single shot is one of the most satisfying things in soldat.

Another one of my favorited is to score a headshot on a parachuting guy.
Their headless corpse floats to the ground.
Or just killing any guy on a 'chute.

That's always satisfying. It keeps you hooked on Soldat I guess!

Obviously you have never played in R/S with a ruger. Then, NOT gunning someone down in midair with a single shot is one of the most satisfying things in soldat.
*laughs at own joke*
No, really. It's very hard to kill with ruger without height advantage.

I'm curious; how did you snipe 3 guys in blue base without them respawning again?  IIRC the barrett has a good deal of time between shots...

What the hell are you talking about? I can take someone out with a ruger from anywhere...except below. You must not have much skill with it then.

I have to agree.  It's quite simple for me to kill with the ruger no matter where I am.
