taping program

im considering to make a small soldat movie.
i have used fraps to tape earlier but i taped only 30 secs..
so can anyone recommed a program to tape while i plays?

Older and free version of Fraps, that supports unlimited recording. Albeit without sound.

I suggest Cam studio. Learn it a little, and it will work fine.

i have now tried both programs. fraps and camstudio!
when i starts fraps while im playing, soldat shut downs and i have no idea why..
and when i use camstudio soldat lags...so im pretty much from the start again:/

do you record soldat when  you play, or the demos?

And fraps minimizes it i belive, when i tried it,there was a little soldat icon on the start bar thing on the right hand corner where it shows your internet status etc

Camtasia might work, I have not tried it on Soldat though.

on the new fraps type, ah well u could save those videos of urs on .sdm format, then play then back but cut stop and start every 30 seconds

i've tried out camstudio some more now and find a way so soldat dont lags. i chosed the option "fixed region" on the region tab.
but the problem then was that cam stuio filmed just a little around my char, i would prefer it film the whole screen, or atleast almost the whole screen!
so can someone help me to fix the region thing?

click fixed region, then Select... (i think, not on the same comp) then yoo can drag it to the size of the soldat screen. But if u play fullscreen, then you can just select Full screen...

Are you recording as you play? Because if its lagging, it might be because you're trying to record while playing at the same time. Try to record demos first then you can view them and record with a program like Fraps or Camstudio.

LOL Bjarne Betjent, click F8, then remember what the number the demo is by looking at the console. (if u click properly, a message will say it is demoX is saved at soldat/demo/demoX). then, go to the join game menu, type the demo name in the I.P adresss, change the ports to 0 and click join game. you should be playing the demo, andway u can use some demo players compatible with soldat like diamond demo player or something(go fan app list to download everything concerning soldat that isnt official).THEN RECORD WITH FRAPS/ANYTHING FFROM THEREE. OR. u can use auto demo mode.(go config menu in soldat folder and click auto record). its easier to record killing sprees that way. or a wierd happenings in ur daily dosage of capping and dying in soldat. weather bots/humans
