Cannot change Visible in OnShow or OnHide.
« on: July 31, 2007, 11:52:34 am »
Whenever I try to play Soldat (1.4.1) I get a message saying exactly what the thread title says. I cannot continue without closing the dialog box. Then I clik OK to enter the default profile and when the intro is about the start I get an access violation. This time I cannot close the dialog box, so I have to end the Soldat process using CTRL+ALT+DEL. When I disable the intro, I go to the Start Game section (in 640X480). When I click on any tab (Join Game, Options etc.) I get the access violation thing again. This time, I am able to close the dialog box. I can go to any tab (provided that I close the dialog boxes that appear) but the Start Game tab stays highlted as if I am in that one. Now, there aren't ANY servers in Join Game, no maps in Start Game and when I click the button Start Game I get an access violation problem. I have re-installed the game, deleted all the files except I cannot find the system files mentioned in the FAQ thread and I didn't restart the PC.

Now even Soldat 1.3.1 isn't working. These have mysteriously stopped working for me. Soldat 1.3.1 is even worse, it closes immediatley as soon as it opens. They were working perfectly fine yesterday.

I use Xfire to play Soldat 1.4.1, and it is not detecting neither Soldat 1.4.1 nor 1.3.1.

Please help me. I loved playing that game.

What are your system specs? This normally helps trouble shooting.

I tried today again, meaning the computer was restarted.

I have no idea what my system specs may be.

Try running in fullscreen or windowed mode. Also you might want to turn off any programs running in the background of Windows.

I tried both ways. I'll turn everything off.

I couldn't fix it by restarting the computer.

I'll search Belarc Advisor when I get home, on Monday.
