Here are a few tips to fight back at hackers, the legal way, and also what not to do when somebody is hacking

THE DO'S

- Ignore the fact of him hacking (this will piss him right off)

- Dont let the hacker know its annoying

- Alert an administrator

- Vote to kick him (may take a few votes)

- Try to get people to leave the server, because it will bore the hacker

- Dont fight the hacker, just sit and do nothing for about 5 minutes and see what happens (this has worked for me alot)




THE DONT'S

- Dont hack back, ever, even if its your server, it will just give the impression that what he is doing is ok and welcomed to soldat which its not.

- Dont abuse him, this just aggrovates him and will not stop him and it also makes you look like a fool.

- Dont try to ruin the game by hiding flags outside the map or TK'ing etc. This makes you just as bad as the hacker

ADMIN DO'S

- Kill the player a few times. /kill hackers name

- Tell the player what he's done wrong, report the abuser to other server admins give them his I.P etc.

- Ban the player permenantly, 24 hour bans are useless what does it teach then? how to wait to hack again? c'mon



How to find a hacker

- Abnormal Speed.
- Doesnt Run Out Of Ammo.
- Scores Faster Than Normal.
- Has An Abnormal Ammount Of Grenades.
- Gets Voted To Be Kicked From The Server For Possible Cheating.
- Gets Voted To Be Kicked For Hacking By Other Players, This Is  A Good Time To Look For Signs Of Hacking.
- Always Has Flamer
- Always Has Bonuses
- Keeps Disappearing And Appearing In The Middle Of The Map
- Can Use The '[SERVER MESSAGE]' Admin Ability But Isnt A True Admin


Alot of players will say that they are fast due to your lag or the servers lag, dont beleive it

I like all of these tips, and in my opinion they should be promoted throughout the entire game.  Anyone who promotes and/or abides by these is a good guy in my book

No, but seriously. For example, someone hacks in a good server, but no matter how many times i vote, some feckers keep voting "no". Wouldnt stopping the game be a good way to get their attention?

Stopping the game would be a good way to make them feel acomplished, half of the hackers HATE soldat... they have anti-soldat sites trust me ive seen some they advertise them alot (I AM TOTALLY ANTI-HACK)

ADSL2+ is basically what the rest of the world gets for $20, except we pay like $60+ for it and only get burstable speeds up to 24Mbit. But yeah, I think a /punish command might be in order for the next version
