So, last night, I was playing a dm with some of my clan buddies, and we got this awesome idea for a New Game Mode:

Kill the Leader

So, it's pretty self explanatory, but I'll explain anyway. The first person to get a kill becomes the leader, and everyone has to kill him. It's sort of like Rambo, but the leader doesn't get a special weapon, but his health should regenerate. The "leader" gets 1 point every 2 seconds that he's alive, and if you kill the leader, you get 10 points. Also, like in Rambo, you can't kill anyone but the leader, and if the leader dies, and still has the most points, he respawns as the leader.

Also, you would need some way of identifying the leader. Maybe a flag or a big arrow?

The game that I played last night was possibly the most unique and incredibly fun game of Soldat I have ever played.

oh yea, i know whatcha mean brad i always wanted something like that in soldat but it seemed to basic so i never said anything

i would say something like its 2 - 4 teams, each team got 1 leader to protect, and if the leader of Bravo got killed by Alpha, then Alpha would get some points, and then Bravo's leader would spawn as normal (or when the match is starting a random person will be chosed as a leader, like on Bravo "Peter is the new leader" and if your peter you will get "You are the new leader", so any way, the points is that Bravo must protect theyr leader while they are trying to kill the leader of the other teams.

To know who the current "leader" is, just have them glow whatever color their team is. Not really big or obnoxious, just enough for people to know. Less boring than a flag or something.

Or maybe something like in MoFo (there are two teams and both have their leaders and guys from Red team tries to kill blue leader and vice-versa).

Actually, I think that the Andrelie has some good ideas.

If we do do my way, then the leader shouldn't get points for not doing anything.

the more steps the current leader takes the more points the team gets

no points for crouching or proned movement

I have rethought the gamemode and this is what I would like.

There are 2-4 teams, each consisting of 2 or more player each. Each team has a "leader," which is the person on that team with the highest number of points. The leader "glows" in the color of the team. The leader gets 2 points for every kill, and normal teammates get one point per kill. As a leader, your objective is to stay alive as long as possible. As a non-leader, you have a couple of options:

1. Protect the leader
2. Attack enemy leaders
3. Shoot everything that moves

The maps should have a base for each team, should be large, and should be flowing like a deathmatch.

Please share your opinions on this revised edition of "Kill the Leader."
