Zombie Pox looks like Cyberdogs/C-Dogs, arguably the best DOS game ever.

ZombiePox is fun indeed. Too bad you always have to start from level 1 each time you loses.

The ZombiePox interface (converting to Soldat at the moment) is awesome, as well as the game.

Torus Trooper – Download

Taking the best of games like “Raiden" and “Spin Around Until You Throw Up,” Torus Trooper is a non-stop shooter moving at several thousand kilometers per hour.

While early levels limit your speed, you will eventually find that the enemies are streaming past you and it quickly becomes impossible to evade their bullets.  To make matters worse for your neon spacefarer, the entire map is constantly spinning around your head forcing you to navigate corkscrews while trying to evade a boss’s own spiraling bombs.

The best part about this game is that, until the later levels, it’s surprisingly difficult to die as long as you continually strafe in one direction – which makes you feel like a towering champion over the game’s enemies.

Anybody can rock the socks off of this game and have a ton of fun, just as long as you aren’t susceptible to vertigo.

This is the game to play while stoned.

Holy crap.

You mean rRootage.  I was trying to figure out whether to put that game up today or another one that I find more fun, you solved my problem.

It should be up in a bit, after I'm done being lazy.

Ocular Ink is up there now...whoever created this game must've been stoned at the time.  "Dude, hehe, wouldn't it be, like, totally awesome if I made a game where, listen, where you're a rolling eyeball that has to defend the world from ultimate doom?"

Also, I switched things around so that the newest game is on top, just because scrolling down for each new game is a pain in the ass.  I'll also be out of town for a few days so don't expect any more updates for a while.

Ahh, Rrootage is good.

Looking through my old Hyper magazine which has the top freeware games, I found 3 games that I remember were awsome.

Truck Dismount - Jetro Lauha
Tumiki Fighters - Kenta Cho
Mono - Binaryzoo

Google them, they're great fun.

Oh, and the you have all your reviews doubled up on the first post.

edit: I'm downloading Ocular Ink now.

I've already played the last two, but Tumiki Fighters isn't really that much fun and I was planning on putting Mono up the day I got back.  I'll check out Truck Dismount, though.

Edit: Oooh, truck dismount is just one of those falling games.  I completely forgot about those, thanks for reminding me.

Wow, I love a lot of these games, especially Warning Forever, Rumble Box, Torus Trooper and Ocular Ink.
I just finished Ocular Ink, and man, that was fun. Drawing stuff never was so much fun.
Considering I finished it though, I guess I'll be back to Torus Trooper, that game is very addicting, I have found.

Ocular Ink sounds like a game you'd get for your Nintendo DS.

Mu-cade is up there now.  I'd really just skip the review and download the game (if you don't already do that) since it's a pretty sh*tty review to have to read before you play.  Anyway, have fun with this old school style shooter.
