I'm curious...
« on: July 08, 2006, 11:46:43 am »
I was thinking about this and it really had me curious. Am I alone?  A lot of times when or if a rather well known community member changed his or her avatar it would take me a second to realize who they were. Now I'm not saying that I don't know you by names, but it's just faster to remember you by avatar.

You're not alone. It seems quicker to memorize someone's avatar, because if they change it, it takes a while to remember it again.

Neither did I for a while.

I change my avatar every week.

I try to do the same... I don't like to keep one for too long, gotta change it up a bit from time to time.

Thank you very much Nick for this userbar!! <3

Heh, I used to have an avatar that changed everytime you reloaded the page, but people got so frustrated with it that I decided to stop.  Now I barely ever change my avatar or signature.

I don't even look to my left, I just see distinct colors and shapes out of the corner of my eye and I know who it is.
