Soldat Lagging more than ever?

Is anyone else having major lag issues with the new version? I AM using dial-up, but still, in the previous versions, I did have some lag issues, but for the most part it wasn't that bad. Now I'll be lucky if I can even join a game. I keep having constant connection problems, major lag spikes, and stuff like that. Anyone else feel this way?

Try playing servers that are close to you.

Nope, not laggin, mostly cuz I sort from ping so I get local servers. Try closing other programs while you play with crt alt del.

There are some netcode/algorithm changes that are being made in 1.4.2 to fix the additional "laggy" feeling some people have in 1.4.1

Well, IMO lagging has been decreased, especially for people with high pings, and against people with high pings.

Now I can play on U13 server, and it feels like playing on Selfkill server, I can see no significant difference! Of course players warp a bit more, few "hit!"'s happen, but overall it is ALOT better than what I used to be in 1.3.1 for example.

I don't have dial-up, but it's very, very crappy DSL and my dad is an ignorant asshole when it comes to computers and the internet. My connection speed is like 260 kbps.

Well, I would get highspeed, but my dad is very cheap. He gets some discounts for this dial-up service we're using now, so we pay a lot less for internet now then we would if we get highspeed. The thing is, we aren't poor, he makes more money than most of my friend's parents do, yet they all have highspeed, 5 tvs, xbox's, ps 3's, wii's, and other crap. But since I'll be going of to university, I should be able to convince my dad to buy me a laptop (b/c I actually will need one), and then, I can just play from the campus. They have satellite internet there, my ping will under 50 man.

But about lag, I was thinking could battleye increase the amount of lag, or is that independent? I'm not really sure how battleye works. For crappy connections, like mine, it could be causing problems.

In my experiences the lag has decreased from 1.3.1... i used to get 50-100 in servers close to me and now i get 30-50.  I dont think BE causes more lag lol

BE causes absolutely no lag to Soldat, maybe very insignivicant ping increase can be npticed sometimes with some connection like 28kbps or so, but anything above that wont be affected by BE.

lol my ping is 166 beause i am very very far from the servers but it still doesnt matter. i have connection speed of 2mbps.

Idk, my friend uses his laptop on campus all the time, he says the connection is way faster there than at his home, where he has cable. Anyways, no matter how bad satellite could be, it can't be worse than dial-up.
