Lime green texture
« on: August 08, 2007, 08:23:39 pm »
Im trying to make a map in which has a solid lime green texture(default soldat recognition for transparency) so i can have te ground invisible, but i have the edge white so i can have some indication as to where the ground is. As I tied it out, the texture was showing up as lime green, when i use white with the texure, while it should show up as invisible. I dont wish to use the invisible function on PW, because it inivsualizes the edge too. Can i get some refference as to how i could make this work?

Did you really make it the lime green in the default palette of MS Paint?

No, i chose it from the...when you doble click on a color. It registered as transparent in PW, but not in soldat

Does lime in map textures really render transparent? Either way I'm curious as to why you can't just make the polygons invisible, and add a scenery to the edges you want.

I believe I got the solution:
Make a texture 1x1 black dot. Put it in Textures folder.
Make a edge (With the same name of the texture) with a 1x1 dot white.
Set the background black.

Try this.

or u can just make the polygon its self transparant, its something new tough and not many mappers have found it,that u  can make it transparant the same way u shade.
I don't understand
do you mean that there is a /faceplam commmand ?
and this command should drop a random item ?
