Server Connection...

Hey,

Ok Well I'm trying to run a Server (Not Dedicated)... and when I get in my server it says...

Registering server @ lobby.soldat.pl
Registering server @ selfkill.com
Registering server @ lobby.soldatserver.com

And once in a while it will try to register at ASE.

Once thats done. It seems like it never finishes connecting. It will repeat Registering server Blah blah over and over. Also it will say DirectInput Initialized, which I don't think is a problem.
I'm Using a Router so mabe thats the Problem? Mabe I have to Open certain Ports?
Once in a while it will work, but only for like 5 mins then it will go offline again.

lobby.soldat.pl has been down for a while, and lobby.soldatserver.com doesn't exist anymore.  This is the server constantly trying to connect to those two since they aren't responding.


If you want to make it stop, remove those two from lobby_servers.txt

I'd actually reccomend leaving them in, since this (I think, though enesce can tell me whether I'm right or not) will force it to constantly re-register with the selfkill.com lobby.  Since the lobby server software and overall system has some bugs, this would be useful since after time servers can get dropped from the lobby.

Well I'm going to leave them in, but my server never ends up registering with any of them. My Friends Can't even IP in. Its like it wants to stay offline xD. (ITS ALIVE!!!) My Router always changes my Remote Port so its difficult to IP in the first place.

lobby.soldat.pl
selfkill.com
lobby.soldatserver.com
I don't know if thats up to date or anything so...

ah, then it sounds like you have yet to configure your router to forward the necessary ports.  Take a look at the sticky in this forum about server configuration and use www.portforward.com to help you figure it out.

What router do you have?

Soldat doesn't need to be in the list, all you need to know is that you need to open:
23073 TCP and UDP
23083 TCP

I had that prob...are you sure its not the connection, or the severs? becasue right now i cant even joina  game...server lobby wont respond...

Yes, some of the servers are down, but I think selfkill works.

Still, I'm just trying to set up the router as of right know, any help. Oh, and I tryed to read the sticky, but I'm easly confused and didn't understand any of it.

Let's wait to troubleshoot his problem, we won't be able to help him until the lobby is back up... unless that is the source of his problem.

Nevermind on my problem. I tweaked with it till 4 last night and finally got it routed. I'll just have to wait, for the sever's to get stable.
