After leaving my computer alone for a month or so my Soldat did the same thing. Also fucked up the entire profile on the computer so bad I had to manually go in and remove it. No idea what happened there, and it probably wasn't Soldat itself, but it made for an interesting weekend, needless to say.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

I just did a fresh install on Windows XP SP2 and I'm having no issues.

Could you all kindly uninstall Soldat, delete the Soldat folder, remove any Soldat registry keys (hacked or otherwise) and then restart your computer.

Once that is done, reinstall Soldat to a new and different directory (as in C:\Soldat, or C:\Games\Soldat) and then start it up without making any setup changes (no mods, user preferences, etcetera).

Post your results here, please.
