Counter-Strike v1.4

Script Name: Counter-Strike script for Soldat (v1.4)

Core Version: 2.6.2 or higher


Features

  • Money system. It's like advance mode, only you get money and choose what to buy yourself.
  • Accessories. Apart from weapons you can buy cluster grenades, bulletproof vests, and much more for your hard-earned money.
  • Medics. Every team has a medic of their own to support.
And loads more I can't possibly be arsed to list.

Changelog

Version 1.4 (2008-10-30)
- Added Predator accessory
- Added Berserker accessory
- Removed buy time entirely
- Made the stat gun slightly more powerful
- Lowered the price of the stat gun to $6500
- Lowered the price of cluster grenades to $1250
- Fixed the bug where weapons were lost upon switching team
- Selling a weapon now gives 33% of its buy cost (changed from 25%)
- All weapons now have static prices (M79/Barrett $2250, Minigun $1500, all others $2000)

In-game commands

/buy <weapon>Write a part of any weapon/accessory's name to buy it.
You can also use the weapon's number.
Example: /buy bar and /buy 8 would both purchase a Barrett.
/sell <weapon>Sells a weapon you already have for half the purchase price. Same syntax as /buy.
/pricesDisplays the weapon & accessory prices.
/moneyHow much money you have at the moment

The money you get whenever you kill somebody, win a round, etc is all customizable. Look inside the script file for details.

Setting it all up

Extract the zip file attached to this post to your server directory (NOT soldatserver/scripts; this script uses a WM).
Then for some Soldat.ini configuration fun:

  • Enable survival mode (Survival_Mode=1)
  • Enable advance mode (Weapons_Mode=1) and set Advance_Amount=200 or something ridiculously high (this is because I am a lazy **** and it's easier for me just having you set a server option)
  • Set the game mode to Capture the Flag (GameStyle=3)

Then open up CounterStrike.pas in an editor of your choice if you feel like making any changes to the default configuration.

cool script, when do you actually loose the weapons?
If you die with a primary you'll lose it, or if you throw it out (to prevent somebody supplying weapons to his entire team without any costs for them). You can also steal weapons on the ground, and a bit more stuff. Go play it since I really can't be arsed writing out every single detail here (I'm lazy and very tired :().

And fixed a small bug in it (as I said, too tired), so v1.01 now.

That's up to the server -

Suggestion:
Mod the weapons to make some weaker and stronger (cuz currently they're very well balanced) - the weaker ones would cost less then and the stronger would be more expensive!
For example, the minimi would be twice as weak but would cost 2/3 the price of the AK (It seems currently AK is very similar to minimi).  Or have HK only have 10 bullets per magazine...
Can't think of anything original to put here...

It actually won't work at all if survival is disabled. Might fuck up a non-survival version of it later.

I know fuck all about making properly balanced weapons, and.. meh, I'm lazy. It should be pretty easy to just edit it in yourself ripping the dynamic pricing part out.

Hello Toumaz. ive Translated your script to dutch
but i cant buy weapons anymore. it says no weapon found with HK or another weapon name you typed in when you try to buy. can you fix it? see attachment if so

Could you be a bit more specific as to how that happened? Should work without any problems whatsoever, really.

i type "/buy m79" for instance and i get a server-message, which says, that i have bought the M79 and my cash decreases. but i get no weapon.

It should be available in the weapon list upon your next respawn.

ok...thanks...now i understand, how the scripts works. but when i disable the weapons menu before i spawn i cant select a weapon after spawning. what can i do, that it doesnt happen?

Eh? If you've disabled it using tab, just press tab again. If you've selected a weapon and then purchased a weapon, tough luck. You can still buy a weapon with the weapon menu open though... so do it that way instead.

but the problem is: the menu is used for selecting all the weapons you bought ( and the weapons you got on the ground ).
and with menu , you cant buy armor vest and other extra stuffs...

in fact this script isnt really made for noobs... but when you know how tu use it, its maybe one of the funniest.
im using macro keys of the G15 keyboard to buy/sell weapons and its really great as if.

good script and thank you to share it.
