RST2 2007 - R/S Tournament

Hi there dear R/S fans.

Abit later than planned, the 2nd edition of the Realistic Survival Tournament, also called Real Soldat Tournament, has finally openend its sign ups. The tournament was formally known as the RSST, or Real Soldat Summer Tourney, so some of you may already be familiar with the tournament. The RSST 2006 was won by {WG} who played against [SaD] in the finals. With <DN> ending third.

As stated in the topic title, the tournament is played in the R/S game mode.
The tournament will be played poule-style: the teams will be divided into two or more groups. The clans play a match against each other clan within their group. In the end, the number one of each group will battle eachother in the finals for the 1st and 2nd place. The number two of each group will play for the 3rd place.
The tournament will use Avarax' CS Mappack v5.1,which can be downloaded here.

To sign up, you can send an email to mail@realsoldat.net or post a topic at our forum. Be sure to include your clan name and tag, a website if avaible and your email adress. Msn and/or Xfire optional.

and two more things.
make a tw tornament i saw your the admin on the tw server (pretty bad one you renember >.<)
so i will sure be there and kick every ones buts !!! ROAR!!!!!!

Cause I accidentally typed the /adminlog password command in the chat makes me a bad admin? Humans make mistakes.

But back ontopic, We recieved our first signups, there will probably be room for 8 clans.

Wrong... Most R/s players play default maps. I think this tournament would do a lot better if it was default maps. Just look at all the clans on the DS Forums. I doubt any of them will play a CS R/s tournament. I'm from R/s, I know the clan I'm in probably won't join because of the fact it's CS maps.

We know DS. We've been around the R/S scene for 2-3 years, since it was "born". We've chosen to use the CS maps because we recieved lotsa positive replies on using them last year. Besides that, Avarax is our "sponsor".
But if enough people prefer default maps, we'll add them to the list.

I play R/S and I personally don't mind CS maps.  It's a chance to deviate from always playing Ash and Kampf during scrimmages/cw's.  I'm in the same clan as oRiGiNaL, so I'm guessing the rest of |D) won't want to do this.  :/

There was plenty of clans in RST last year and there was only CS maps. So why there wouldn't be now?

http://ds.u13.net/ is the Realistic Survival community forums. Gather people, and become active there. There is about 10-20 clans on that forum who would definately play, so yeah.

No CS-DE maps. Thats pathetic. Leave it with Ash Cobra Nuubia Kampf etc. CS + DE maps = tourny phail.

Ive tried a number of times to make a tourny for RS, but its hard becuz they are all a little lazy. Give it a go though, Ill sign up my clan.

RS is predominately US based aswell, so you would have to make it US servers. I can hook you up with 2-3 US hosted servers if need be. bmcsoldat@hotmail.com
