About in-game graphics
« on: August 13, 2007, 05:21:55 pm »
I have a question: Why aren't the images in the game centered(weapon-gfx)?

To explain this better I will refer to the bullets. The image is shown from the top left pixel and if the graphic is a couple of pixels high the bullets will look odd. I suggest making the graphics centered so the futuristic mods like ERA or some other would look alot better... anyone interested in modding stuff will know what I mean.
Sorry if this is not understandable, I'm sleepy, drunk and english is not my primary language :P

It's because Michal Marcinkowski wasn't as experienced with programming as he is now when he programed the graphics for Soldat. I think it seemed like the easiest way; and that's what he did.
If a similar method is used in Michal's next game, I hope we can change where the sprites are anchored.
