Scared.. not knowing of what to do..

I was afraid of death, when I was a child. I was unable to perform in school, because I was so afraid of the fact that one day I would die.

Our family went swimming at a lake sometime later, and I fell from a rope swing into the water, head first. I was pretty confused. The water was very dark and I couldn't see. I knew I was going to drown. I flailed around, kicking, trying to find which way was up, but I ran out of breath, and I could feel my lungs constrict before my body betrayed me and sucked in the water around me. It felt like forever down there.

Obviously I survived, but I'm not afraid of death now. I know there's nothing I can do to avoid the act of dying, but I can put each foot forward now knowing that I can enjoy life while I'm alive.

I only read the first page before I decided to give my spin on life.

1) You will die. Dont plan for it but at least expect it.

2) What you do in life does not amount to nothing. Although your purpose may not be clear at first you possess skills to help other people.

3) There is pain, sorrow, happiness and bliss all exist in this world. You directly effect how this world feels to you.

4) No one knows what is beyond this world. You can choose to live well or die for nothing. DO NOT take those words lightly.

If its one thing i've learned in life, is that sometimes it's best to let people work these little inevitable steps of life by themselves. A sudden sense of reality-breaking mortality will catch up with most sooner or later, for the better in the long term.

I think alot of people are in your position right now, even me. When I first realized that like hey? when I die? Will I just like rot? Is there really a thing like heaven or hell?

For now Carl, your probably stressed out thinking about that... but relax, hopefully it will pass and soon that idea may hopefully not make you emotional.

Its kinda freaky wondering if there is information being kept away from the public world... Pretty much I try to have faith in my Catholic religion, even though I never really had proof of a miracle.

BUT, Ill tell you this... there are supernatural things that only a rare few may have seen. There are ghosts or spirits which we cannot see but can have control of moving things. Youll probably not believe this but my dad saw a 2 headed dog in the sky when he was in his 20's in south america. Even though I didnt see it, im pretty sure my dad wouldnt lie to me, since ive asked him 'Really??Werent you hallucinating or something??", he told me that even his brother saw it since he was there with him. Also my sister got attacked by a ghost cuz she was playing the quiji board. (maybe if you wanna find something out you can try it... though its not something you should mess around with.

But me.... well, I saw a ghost when I was like opening my eyes like a year ago at 3am or something. It was a girl(all white?) with like long hair and then she like screamed in my face and like went towards me. Call me crazy but It made me jump out of my bed and reach for the lights and the tv.

Btw, I was also wondering, why are you going to Iraq? I mean, there might me a chance you might probably be killed over there, since even the children are helping make bombs over there these days. -_- I just wish you the best of luck.

Everyone goes through this in their lifetime at one point, It's allready happened to me. What you really need to do, and helps quite a bit, is begin to write down 1 to 100 of all the things you most want to do out of life. It doesn't matter how unattainable they may seem, if you want it hard enough, you'll get it.

One of my things to do on my list race around Silverstone (a race track), it took me a while to book but I got a day on it eventually. I spent the day taking my bike around it, and it was great.

Once you begin doing these things, it becomes easier to see that death really doesn't matter so long as you enjoy your life.

By the way, the evidence isn't there.  At least not in this video.  And they're telling you specifically not to research evolution because you obviously don't need to know anything about evolution to know that it's all phooey.  I don't know anything about Austrian or Chinese history before the 1800's, though, so none of that must have happened either.  It's all common sense, really.

FMBM, you're a smart guy.  Don't rely on videos like this that purposely spread misinformation, go research evolution for yourself and then tell me it doesn't exist.  Because here's the funny part about that video -- they're attacking the wrong thing, which is why it can often sound unbelievable. 

We know that evolution occurs -- just look at the way all of our antibiotics are failing one by one as bacteria evolves to circumvent the poisons we use to kill them.  Could this be a message from God telling us that evolution does exist right in front of our eyes?  Well, he works in mysterious ways, right?

The only problem you face with evolution is where it interferes with the biblical idea of human history -- that we were all created as is and didn't slowly change over time to assume our present form.  But that's all a matter of interpretation, where "most scholars agree" that "seven days" is really just a metaphor for a different length of time.

As for Darwin -- yes, the proof is there that he was wrong.  But it wasn't fundementalists that proved him wrong, it was evolutionists who gradually created better and better theories.
