ctf script idea.
« on: July 06, 2009, 08:49:39 pm »
I dunno if it's possible. But I was thinking;
Make a script so blue and red have two flags each.
it would work just like normal ctf.
but instead of just defending one flag, you have to defend two.
you can capture either flag, and return it to either one of your flags to score.

i just thought of another one just then.
if you could combine the yellow flag into a ctf game (htf one)
then you could have three way ctf.
and even the inf flag for 4 way ctf.
and use it on CROSS or X shape maps.

or another one I just thought of, lol.
have a normal ctf game.
then have a third team, that doesn't cap. but are like free for all mercenaries.
just to make it harder for blue and red.

dunno if they're scriptable. but they'd be pretty fun! =D

From the way this was structured, I expected 10 beats per line, with a rhyming couplet at the end of each stanza :P.  Oh well...

Don't think this is possible, would be pretty damn hectic though...
For signatures, you are allowed only one image in your signature which may not be wider and taller than 300 and 125 pixels, and may not be over 20kB in file size. No BMPs are allowed.

ORRRRRR.
a ctf and inf game in one.
red vs blue (ctf)
yellow vs green (inf)
so just like a teamdeath match, but each team has it's own objective.

i'd actually rent a server if anyone of these were scriptable.

Unfortunately, you are limited to only two flags (Alpha and Bravo flags)

you can do the last one. just ask for a script that puts some players on charlie or delta. but, itd be boring for charlie. maybe script a way for charlie to win. like hold the 2 flags for so many seconds like a ctf/inf

Something like this would be good:
Alpha and Bravo - ctf
Charlie and Delta - htf

Yea, alpha and bravo fight to cap while charlie/delta(would work better with just 3 teams) would get points for holding both flags. You would need some new big maps though...

i get it, but thats not the only script you need, you need a script that gives charlie/delta points and displays them

When it comes to displaying using the built in display, only two teams can show at a time (Alpha or Charlie, and Bravo or Delta; I think... not certain) so I would just not even use the built in score system, and create your own.

That's what I meant, but you can make the built in one not display?
