Everyone who hates anime is pretty much the same people who hated soldat, but was finally persuaded by one of their friends to go and try it. And they enjoyed it. They enjoyed it so much, they've put clan tags as their avatars and is advertising stuff like "Gunner Guards", or something like that.

Although they do represent the troubles that the world has seen or is about to see, twisted slightly and some big-breasted heriones thrown in the mix does make it a bit corny, the whole idea of this animated entertainment is to let go.

Let go of reality, and just don't crictize at every little thing that the anime shows come up with. Treat the animes as a entirely different form of living up the boring days. Treat it differently not as if you are watching  movies of real people in real life, or reality shows. Just watch and don't think too much about it.

The really cheesy thing that people say about japanese cartoons is "I hate anime".

I'll ignore you next time you say "I hate anime." It's overused. It's overrated. And lastly, it's mighty inoculous of me to loathe you guys for such a large part of my life that will never come to pass again.

I've been a fan of manga and anime and the whole japanese culture thing until I realized most of it is shit cunt bitch whore, especially the shows that reach USA. The only ones I do like are: Dr. Slump, Ah! My Goddess(those two in manga form) and My neighbor Totoro which is good because of its absence of typical manga/anime cliches.

Yeah, Studio Ghibli's the only producer that makes those hand-drawn animations that you'll never see again in a long, long time. And that's what makes My Neighbor, Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle special. And it is well-done.

I've seen almost all of Studio Ghibli's films and it poses a magical appeal that can be viewed by all ages.

Of course, anime doesn't have to be one big cliche, as some director like Shinichiro Watanabe makes it wildly imaginative and cool with Cowboy Bebop and it's next success. Samurai Champloo.

Bleach, for one, just puts all of the cliches and puts it in a new angle and falls in line with the fighting and humour category. After all, Urahara's the only character in the entire anime that keeps it going. Oh, and don't forget Ulquiorra.

I watch Elfen Lied for the compelling mix of emotions it provides, and that in itself is unique when mixed with a naked, horned female that kills a lot of people in several blood-spatter-on-the-floor madness. The opening is beautiful, and it imitates the original art done by (I forget his name). The music's pretty dark when it's the saint version, a slow gregorian chant.

Now, I won't say anything about the apparent nudity, but I can see they have done nothing to cover it up, as it is a natural cause of life. I don't consider it hentai, because there's no sexuality in it, and if there is, the humor is well-written.

That's quite a bigoted view you have there. Sure you can get emo furries that draw porn, but there are a huge amount that don't. There is alot of poorly animated anime for kids, but there's also alot of anime that isn't for kids and is not porn.

I hate anime because of the gay looking art style, its like some kind of hideous monster that people cannot stop drawing, It tries to be serious but because of shit voice acting and disgustingly awful eyesore "art" it doesn't give the impression of real at all.

My teacher had us watch some shitty anime movie about Hiroshima, all the people with radiation sickness looked like zombies that where put in the microwave, A bunch of retards in my class felt like it was somehow emotional, but the shit art style killed it. I couldn't feel anything for some pencil lines.
