Need Answers on why ppl say barret sucks!

The barrett is in my opinion the easiest weapon to use, even though I never use it, when I pick it I own with it.
It doesn't require any kind of skill except moving slowly and standing when you're shooting.

In a few words : With M79, the weapon of the noobs.

You're wrong, is very hard, a easy-to-use-&-cheap-kills is the AUG/AK/Minimi, they don't requires so much skills. If someone are shoting you with a ah/ak/aug/minimi etc is very hard to aim because the bink hurts a lot the aim. Use it in close combat IS VERY HARD and requires a lot of skills. But use it camping does not.

People hate the Barrett for two reasons: people who are damned good with it, and people who just run up to you out of nowhere and fire a round directly into your face. It's all a matter of opinion. And being able to duck.

There have been so many "Barret is unfair" discussions it's not even funny. Just sort the threads by most posts and you'll see what I mean, the first one. People hate guns that have some sort of skillless part of it, like running up and shooting you in the face. Since noobs to this for easy kills, it is considered a noob gun. Other guns aren't considered noob guns becuase they take more than one shot. To me, M79 is easiest for close up shots becuase of no delay and 1 shot kill, but I suck with it at any more than a few meters away. They all take some skill in at least some situations, people just complain becuase it is an easy reason to give on why they have a terrible K:D.

People just complain about it because they are angry, and it's just an impulsive comment. It'll happen to M79 users, chainsaw spawners and others. I use the barret occasionally, though I am pretty mediocre at it.

I have the tendency of carrying two barrets at the same time, so I can do double kills. Even then I get accused of cheating or being "cheap". It's my technique and people can see it's good and flawed (especially if I miss), so what?

your rushers may have more kills then ppl with a barret but when your 37 - 45 and im 25 - 3 I'd take my 25 and 3 anyday because of the KDR. + ive seen people effectively RUSH with a barret, not many but I've seen them  Great Wall

Tactics? My tactic is to snipe. Which is how the gun should be used. Assuming you're not playing in the fistbox server...

Ok, but if it is kill from >5 m or kill due to camp, it's just lame.

Oh, and I thought about other "tactics" - shooting and running away from anyone until the next bullet is loaded... and then, repeat.

How are they cheap? Sure spraying the enemy and managing to get off some shots is cheap, but it takes skill to keep the line on them and get kills. The shot from the Barrett has a much higher speed and little/no ark to the bullet, meaning that overall it's easier to aim and kill with the Barrett. The balance to that is that the Barrett is vulnerable to binking and the user has to switch to their secondary or avoid the enemy if they miss a single shot.

Providing that it is only against one opponent, the Barrett is actually very good on close-combat. There is a point where the range is so close that it really doesn't matter how much the Barrett gets binked- the shot will hit.

Most campers are just newbs that hide because they need the time and shock tactics to get kills. But there are some campers out there that make it an art form; using their initiative to successfully hide and ambush their opponent during the entire match, even against skilled anti-campers.

Barret is quite balanced with it's delay and bink. What I find strange is that there are ways to avoid bink, other than avoiding shots. I use it as a 1st shot weapon before switching to other weapon. I don't use it with another barret/m79. Camping is annoying, but I find it rarely dangerous. I met some guys who really owned with barret and socom, but they are very, very few, and trust me, they deserve it.

I don't say it for you, i have seen that you can pwn everybody (In that 1vs1 match, if you remember) but the people just hold fire button until they ride out of ammo, they just shoot around without any accuracy (Most of people).
Effectively, the barret was made to camp, if anyone start saying:
- Camper noob - What a noob! - F*cking sniper! - etc... there is a command that mutes him, just use:

/mute <player name or ID)

I've played both sides of the .50 Cal bullet, and I'll tell you folks the one reason that people hate the Barrett:

It's frustrating. You step out of a bunker, charging, and BLAM, your head goes flying off, and your body falls lifeless to the ground. Your teammate gets the same. And again, and again, and again...

It stalls your team's advance and makes you wait, wait, wait, till someone manages to spray the f#@#%r, and then you all finally charge, rid of the watchful eye from the end of the scope.

Playing as a sniper, if you're good, is profitable. You get kills and have almost no risk of getting shot from that far away. The other team gets mad at you, they end up sniping, too...and so on.

What's especially annoying is when three quarters of your team spawns with the Barrett.

A word on anti-sniper tactics:

Once you kill a sniping team, rush them before they can get back to camping. They will FALL APART under automatic fire. They can't hit you, you'll have to deal with the Socom (just stay a little ways away with any auto), and you end up with a flag. If you break them out of position, they aren't worth anything as rushers.

For once I agree with ouchy, the rett can be easy as hell to be decent with it, also whats annoying is when people use it main route, and "rush" letting all pass and miss the easiest shots.

In general from my experience
Skill shots                            M79 > Rett
Easy to be good with          M79 = Rett

As for getting amazingly good at rett, its hard, very few people are THAT good with it, enough so that I don't care if the rush with it.
