Need Answers on why ppl say barret sucks!

Mainly because it's no fun to have your adrenaline rush cut short by some punk who you were just about to slaughter. Same reason why people don't like M79, really. It's a fun sucker. And if someone who doesn't seem like they're playing fair beats you, then clearly you're going to get mad. And since most people on the internet suck at communication skills, it usually comes out something along the lines of "OMG DUM #@$%*& BARET CAMPER U SUK", give or take a couple of swears.

Barret really does need skill. I really respect good barreters. I haven't been using it actively for years, lat time must be from 1.2-era.

Put a barrett vs. AUG @ Flashback and see who will win. The rules say that both must be rushing, no camping or coward-play.

As I said in the "Nooby Weapon" thread in GD, I rush while running, then, when it's clear, I prone to scout ahead, and if anyone is there, I shoot.

That's how it should be done.

Assault sniping, eh. Well, I guess I do something along those lines on occasion, but I always grab an assault weapon first and use that for advancing; preferably an AUG or shotty.

Who cares what people say? I personally love the barret and never camp with it, ever. Ill usually rush or just anything along "active sniping." I think aiming while in full motion is a good thing to practice.

One: I'm a soloist; I haven't run with a clan in a while now. Two: I play TW more often than not, and scoping out where you know the enemy's going to be is your best defensive option as a sniper. Besides, I take pride in annoying the feck out of the opposition.

assult sniping works VERY well with hexer mod, the AETHERWALK works perfectly with it.

I can get triple kill if I have a barrett, a ready aether, and a knife.

also, aether can teleport you directly behind/near enemy player(so the movement accuracy won't affect your shot), then you shoot him while he is still searching his screen for where you are.

barrett is not accurate enough to be used for jump-snipe  now, so its not a noob gun anymore.

just do a back-flip if your opponent is firing his barrett, then do superman, then stand-up in mid air and jet up.

it would be better if the barrett is matte-black though.

There are some good people who can actually use it. There is even a snipers clan. Its not noob if you use it close range. if ur close range you can easily get killed unlike being miles away

how can you have a completely sniper clan? Do you all just camp or barret rush?
I fail to see how effective it would be, Also, I've found that alot of people are now jamming the barrel of their gun into your eye before firing, and no amount of bink can throw their aim off.

Barret-users tactics suck. It's like "shoot, omfg miss, ruuuuuuuuuun, huh, next shot - WOOW I HIT, run, ...) Please, don't tell me about "barret-rushers", they just can't have the chance against autos (2brt vs 2 autos... autos will win in 80%)
When you "rush" with barret, second enemy will pwn you, unless you are hiding or running away.
Ah, I've forgot. Publics doesn't matter. It is, as my friend said, like "raping little children". You can do everything, and everything works. Even "rushing with barret" works.

I am a hardcore fan of the barret....in my opinion its the best damn weapon on soldat...and is even better when strapped with a law or saw....but ever since i downloaded the new version many ppl(cough....*sprayers*....cough) have been saying that snipers are "noobish" and "cheap". I know the barrets a one shotter....but thats the thing...one shot....per reload that gives an opponent enough time to fill the barret wielder with damn near a full clip. And God forbid someone tries to spray my ass while im aiming...then when i hit my target...miraculously...ppl scream "omg barret takes no skill!!!".... So if any one has an opinion whether for or against my topic feel free to respond...

dude the people that are saying that they take no skill are jus frustrated about thing that they can't use barrets. they are truly one of the best gun and HARDEST gun to control. i was in a DM(death match), and people never called me a 'noob' or anyting. three of the players actually invited me for the clan. i know that my luck might be different than yours, but still, ignore those "spraying" noobs and jus own them until they're so mad, that they get out of the room lol

Using an auto doesn't require less skill then a barret, it shoots straight so if you can point and click then you can aim a barret.  It's more or less, Use gun on man.
And autos aren't exactly effective 2 screens away.

It is not the hardest gun to aim Seeing as it's point and click.

And you must of been versing morons in DM because in any DM people avoid the barret because you've got to get up in people's faces and that's one of the most effective ways to get kills.
