Mapping Etiquette?

Is it ok to make a map that is inspired from a previous existing map? because i've already begun on my next mapping project and it takes some things from b2b,
such as a small bunker for sniping at the top area..
I just want to know my map is still in a very very rough state

Well, TECHNICALLY your modifying an old map... And this is Mod Discussion... 

Also, plenty of people have done you are planning to do before. As long as people find it more interesting than the original B2B (which is a pretty boring map to begin with), you might have a hit.

actually im not modifying im making a new map but it has some similarities like the sniper bunker, im just wondering if its a-ok to do taht.
