why would you say that?

Their has been many predictions of the end of the world,

For instance. lets go to the scientics,
This lightly reported, future event was published in Citizen Times and by Kevin Roeten. In a nutsell, there is an asteroid that will again be visible for threat assessment in 2012. We will need to launch an intervention mission by 2014 in order to intercept 2004MN4 and somehow change the odds of it hitting little ol’ Earth.

Dont believe it? ok then lets go to an irish catholic

St. Malachy, (d. 1148) Irish Bishop and Seer, produced an accurate list of future popes which began with Pope Celestine II in the year 1143. His list consists of a single line which gives a clue to the characteristics of each pope. From this list of 112 popes there are to be just 2 more after Pope John Paul II who passed away on 2 April 2005.  His predictions regarding the popes have been for the most part pretty accurate regarding the identifying characteristics that each line reveals. St. Malachy doesn't give any predictions or information about what happens after the last  pope. According to some other seers, we will have arrived at the end times.

the last pope is going to be a roman.
if you dont belive me, well then wait until the new pope arrives

YOU'RE TAKING A QUOTE FROM THE BIBLE

THE BIBLE

You expect me to take you seriously?

Just because there have been predictions for the end of the world in 2012, doesn't mean it's true.

I know... which is confusing to some I guess. Really he is just saying some irish guy said when he thought the world will end, I guess since he is catholic he tied the guys word to the Bible.

Or it could just mean the end of Roman Catholicism, that's a lot more likely!

I will laugh so hard when the year 2013 comes and nothing has happened. And when a new pope comes one after another.

Long live Nazi-Communism!

Their has been many predictions of the end of the world,

Two examples? I thought you said there were many.

His predictions regarding the popes have been for the most part pretty accurate regarding the identifying characteristics that each line reveals.

"Has white hair and a nifty hat.  Is Catholic."

if you dont belive me, well then wait until the new pope arrives

It's not going to happen within 5 years, believe me.  Pope John Paul II served for 27 years. (Of course, the one before him served for 33 days, so that doesn't really help my point).

However, there have been tons of predictions like these, and obviously none of them have come true.  Why should this be any different?

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

If the asteroid comes close, all we need to do is launch Karmazon into the asteroid where he will whoop its ass. Thereby saving the free world.

The world will end thousands of years from now. Unless some far eastern country decides to be awesome and launches a nuke that wipes the face of the earth clean.
