I had a cat as well that was a brother of my black cat. He looked excactly like your cat, except he got eaten by coyotes a long time ago.

New reason for why cats are awesome. Today a praying mantis wandered into the kitchen where it was viscously ambushed by two kittens.

But they don't just stab at the bug and kill it. They bat it around with their paw, put it in their mouth but don't bite down. It's awesome torture.
