Im in the same boat as Kazuki. Joined back when I was 14 however. I've been in and out for three years. Still 17 myself, but turning 18 on December 5th will mark (roughly) my 4th year both playing and enjoying Soldat

@Mod talk - I believe that so long as you are competent and are experienced in an area of the forums or other Soldat-related material and have a good understanding of such, you can be offered a position...speaking to the air right now though, I'm not 100% sure.

Meh, i remember deh days when i first started playing, 9 yeah thats right 9! ive never known about the soldat fourms until like 3 months ago. Well anyway im 12 already.

And yes, I doubt that the age of someone has anything to with the competence and intelligence that the current staff typically looks for in a future moderator.

No, you're not. Still, when 70% of the voting Soldat Forums population are minors, it sure does seem that way. People always compare themselves to their peers. I used to help out with some all ages shows some years ago, but now, it just feels weird being there. I suppose the age gap has become too great for me to feel "normal" at a show populated by high school/early college kids.

I'm starting to feel the same way. Not only here, but on the other forum I frequent, I typically have to remind myself that the moron on the other end might not be such a complete moron -- just a kid.

I meant "I'm old" as more of a comparative thing to the rest of the community, yeah.

Ironically, I was much more helpful and active in this community when I first became a mod at around the age of 14. Probably closer to the end of my 15th year.

I've always been one to notice that a sense of seniority seems to overcome even the greatest of minds. There are rare cases in which an age gap makes no difference in the intellectual level of a conversation or relationship; they're rare, but not extinct.
