Urban Theatre
« on: August 28, 2007, 05:54:43 pm »
Time to get back to work  ;D. I see that there is now a css mod so ive changed the name to Urban Theatre, this will allow me to work outside the bounds of the css weapons as well. Which is a good thing for me *remembers the last attempt at this mod:P* A name change is not the only thing either, you may notice most of the weapons have brand new outlines or coloring. And i will be keeping it small this time, no weapon config as of now, i want to finish this one  ;). I will try to have it out as soon as its ready. Any constructive criticism is appreciated xD.

new screens will be posted here

The carrying handle / rear sight on the M4A1 looks a little bit strange. Try lowering it a pixel, perhaps. Maybe fill in the gap?
The AK-74's stock should have the top about flat and the bottom more angled down, so the butt is a few pixels lower.
The M3 and Scout look too short.

Some of the weapons look a bit outta shape. Very outta shape. Maybe it's because i've never seen them look like how you have drawn them, like the ak - doesn't look like one at all. Can you put up a refrence pic?

M3 is too short like xtishereb said and the m4 handle is too fat. The top of the m4 looks a bit wierd too. Where did you get that aug idea from?

Your shading however is beautiful =]

ive changed the m4a1 handle, redone some parts of the AK, and made the scout and m3 longer. the new preview is up.

my ak has a sight on the top, thats the big parts on top. not how the original css ak looked but its based off a popular mod http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/screens/21648?img=http://image.fpsbanana.com/ss/srends/20071.jpg . i dont like how the regular steyr looks, so i based mine off the steyr aug A3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Start_01.JPG

thanks for calling my shading beautiful xD

New AK is looking great.
Personally, I don't like the way you're doing handles. I feel that rather than being flat, they should be slanted somewhat. You can see some of PapaSurf's work to see what I mean.

It's looking great. I love the shading and you're taking everyone's advice and making this better and better.
I think that the handles on the pistols are too short. Just my opinion, based on what I've seen of actual pistols. Then again, the handle of the USSOCOM in the default Soldat graphics is a little short too. I'm just trying to draw your attention to it, to see if you think it should be changed.

Wasn't that chainsaw in AC?

yea the chainsaw was in ac xD...i dont like making chainsaws. i might shade it a lil different tommorow.

Date Posted: August 30, 2007, 08:14:35 PM
added AT4 (law)

all weapon interface gfx are done now. But im not sure if i will add even more and put them into a mod config...ill decide that later. for now i will get all the in game graphics/sounds/weapons.ini done. and release it once all that is finished.
