And there was this other one where some black dude steals peoples pigment in order to stay black or something.. I don't fully remember the story, but I remember he had these crazy eyes. That totally freaked me out as well.

Agreed. I remember when I was like 8 or something, I saw this particular episode where they're being chased through some cornfields by some sort of.. well, thing. I had nightmares for days after, and I would still have my occasional horrible dreams for years to come. I would dream that I was rubnning through these cornfields at night, with the sound of something evil coming up just behind me. I could never actually see what it was, I could only hear it come closer.

Not sure, the one that comes to mind is when Mulder is being chased by a government helicopter during the episode...well it happened in a few.

One of the reasons I don't like scary movies is becuase the people in them have no foresight. "Oh no a guy with a chainsaw is chasing me" *Pull out gun, blam* "O noez zombies!" *Also blam* Also, for like The Grudge, if the thing chasing you is waiting to kill you for so long, just ignore it. Your gonna die eventually either way, lighten up. Being scared of the thing won't make it go away. Scary movies really aren't scary, especially if your like over the age of 10.

The first Saw has to be one of the better horror films I've seen in a while.  But the other ones following up the story sucked dick, they never should have made them.  Dead Silence got a negative review but I thought it was quite good, kind of stupid storyline, but noneless, well done.

Probably the Exorcist.  It really creeped me out.

None of the saw movies are actually scary. Loved the first one, 'cause it was just so well-thought-through. The other ones did kinda suck, I'll admit to that. The third one at least. The second one was okay as well..

Night of the Living dead... when I was 7 or 8....

The scene with the corpse at the top of the stairs.

I remember that one movie which freaked me out and I had nightmares about being chased by this witch with a mask, which actually turned out to be one of the teenagers I believe. I don't remember the name of the movie, I just know that I was a kid. A really dumb kid that is...

Although playing F.E.A.R. and Extraction Point is pretty scary and really cool. That was thought through really well.

Night of the Living Dead always gave me the creeps. Something really disturbed me about the scene where it shows the zombies outside eating somebody's intestines.

Carrie was one of the few times I actually screamed during a serious watching of a horror movie. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about.

Also, Jurassic Park when I was 6-8. Nightmares about dinosaurs lurking outside my door dominated my childhood.

I know what you mean. I never expected the movie to end on such a low note. All that fighting was for nothing.

I disagree. Go see the original Halloween if you haven't, the movie is down right terrifying. The theme song even gives me the shits,

I did say earlier some are genuinely scary, but if I understand the plot correctly there is pretty much a guy in a mask trying to kill some person. Like I said, person pulls out gun and *Blam* guy's dead, movie over. No foresight.

He isn't dead. If you just read the plot off of wikipedia, then you really haven't learned much. All I am saying is just see the movie if you haven't. How much of a foresight do  you want? A serial killer is hunting someone down, what could you possibly ask for? The whole theme and atmosphere makes up for it's lack of "foresight" you keep stating it doesn't have. The movie was very influential for many horror directors. Besides, there is a story behind all of it.

Valor, maybe I explained it bad earlier, so I'll try harder this time. I am saying that, in real life, if there was a serial killer hunting me down I would shoot them instead of running away/hiding, like most people do in movies such as this, especially  if they were hunting me in my house. Like for halloween, if the person would just shoot the evil guy, it would pretty much be over. Now I understand not everyone carries a gun and in many countries it's illegal to, but I would grab a piece of broken glass, baseball bat, anything rather than run away, which spells almost certain death, while fighting doesn't.

The characters in the movie do arm themselves when they can, but theres something you gotta understand, MYERS IS THE ONE DOING THE HIDING. The victims don't know their being stalked until they have a kitchen knife rammed through their back.  Just listen, I don't want to start some argument with you. I just want you to see the movie and tell me how it was, then you can say the things you  think are bad about it.

I can't remember the name, It was about a wolverine ravaging a village somewhere, I was a kid at that time of course, I had nightmares about it for two days.

Off topic : Problem with movies is that they're not interactive, you don't really do anything, you're just watching, only a few movies manage to really blend you in its atmosphere, Silence of the lambs, or The Exorcist for example, they both have this amazing seriousness.

edit : Also, the thing that really frightened me the most and still does is Resident Evil 2 the game.
