Actually, Fantasia was a kickass movie too. I loved how abstract it was :D

The problem is, when I watched Fantasia, I wasn't old enough to appreciate it.  I liked it, but I didn't know why.

As for the animated ones? I loved all of the ones I had.

Ok was the guy who created Alice in Wonderland really tripping out on shrooms when the idea came to him? I mean Alice falls into a world that ends up being an entire dream at the end...almost like she was tripping out on acid or something...which doesn't seem a great thing to introduce to kids. But that's my thoughts. It may have been unintentional and just meant to open children's imaginations.

Alright Alice in Wonderland has a lot of metaphores that most people don't get becuase they don't read it in school much anymore. For example, when the carpenter and the other guy (forget what he is) are trying to get their clambs to their like house, it represents Christianity and Islam, the carpenter is Christianity (Jesus was a carpenter) and the other one was Islam. The metaphor is in the end all the clams get eaten either way, just like the authors thought's on religion. The book wasn't originaly a kid's book really, it just got turned into one, hence 5-year-olds don't get it.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was almost certainly inspired by the effects of opium, but it's doubtful that Charles Dodgson (better known under his pen name, Lewis Carroll) was under the influence while making it. He fabricated the story while on a rowboat to entertain Alice Liddell and her sisters.

As for the classics...I hardly remember what I watched when I was a child but Ice Age never stops getting hilarious no matter how many times I watch it :)
