I would like to have earned the respect of my peers in whatever it is I actually end up doing, and maybe influenced someone to do something great for humanity.

That sorta sounds like a Lucid Dream...sorta how you can control your dream, and technically speaking even after you "die" the brain still functions for at least 15 minutes, though activity throughout is pretty much moot. Some say that if you die in your sleep dreaming, you could dream forever...seeing how when you go to sleep and wake up many hours later, the time feels off, like you didn't get enough sleep or only slept for a few minutes, the reason being because you aren't aware of time so it goes by uber slowly. So technically, if you died in your sleep and were experiencing a Lucid Dream where you could control every aspect of it...you could pretty much live in your dreams for eternity...how interesting...

Lucid Dreaming: Becoming aware that you're dreaming (i.e. you witness a kid spilling an icecream cone and all of a sudden a clown runs past you and steals the kid's cone. stuff like that) and once you are aware, you can *somehow* take control of your dream and move around your dream the way you want to, like controlling the subconscious levels of your body. That would be an awesome experience before I die...or if I die to die in a lucid dream. What a way to go, eh?

Dayyuuummm nigga, I got Irish citizenship and I'm virtuous on the tin whistle!! I play Irish session once a week usually. If you are ever in Minnesota, I can take you to all the best Irish pubs and sessions and I guarantee you'll be virtuous too!!!!!!!!! The last session we ended up playing The Pavee Jig for an hour heheheheh. OMG THEN WE CAN MOVE ONTO UILLEANN BAGPIPES AND AND THE IRISH FLUTE AND DUDE YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO LEARN, LITTLE PADAWAN!!!

ZOMG You make me sound like I'm going to turn into the next Sir James Galway who played the irish whistle/flute for "Concerning Hobbits" from the LOTR Soundtrack. Minnesota? I have cousins down there! Next time I come and visit I'll see about hitting you up. Quick, make a thread dedicated to the Tin Whistle and posts some jigs!

I got my whistle this morning and I'm moot at it...I can play Danny Boy and Concerning Hobbits (LOTR theme) but that's it...and im horribly slow. Anything I should knock out of the way before tackling a jig or two?
