Beaches
« on: September 07, 2007, 06:42:51 pm »
Is there any beach type scenery out and about? Examples of what I'm looking for would be umbrellas, lawn/beach chair things ect. Or something like you would have around a backyard pool.

Thanks

You COULD make your own scenery:)

Though i might try.

Chairs and umbrellas.

A lifeguard's chair.

A buoy.

You should do Omaha Beach... that will be awesome... but do it faster, because it will be my next map :D

Hmm...Omaha beach eh? Well, I'll leave the task up to you ;).

And I could make my own scenery...but I decided that I might as well find out if there is any out there first. Plus, I'm not so good with making scenery. Could I per-chance use yours? At least the lawn chair thing? I don't need the umbrella. I'd be using it for my "ctf_lil' port town" map as scenery by the pool.

Well, I'd have to steal the scenery right out of the picture which wouldn't work so well... I guess I could basically mimick your lawn chair and make my own ;).

You don't really need paint shop pro that much, work on creating scenery in paint and practice alot and it comes pretty easily ;)

What do you mean? Do you mean, is there a program that packs scenery up or something?

Soldat MPA
Soldat Map Packer

This is what you need to pack maps.

Bit to bit sceneries don't have any quality IMO. You can use them, but looks weird...

What do you mean!?
ALL of the sceneries are made of pixels.
The pics copied from the internet(s) are just computer generated, so they are superior to a human in shading. THATS why they look so goddam realistic.

If i'd put alot of effort and time into a piece of scenery, i could be able to do the same or better.
