You have to save them in a "m3u" format.  Here are the steps.

1. Use a playlist program that can create them, like WinAmp.
2. Create a playlist based on how you can make one with the program you're using.
3. When it asks you to save it, below you'll see "Save As", this asks you what file type do you want to save it as.  Select "m3u playlist".
4. Save the files into your Soldat Mp3 player directory.
5. Load Soldat, select the playlist you created and you can listen to the tracks.

Why dont you just have your media player running in the bakcground? Thats what I do.
I find it better since I have buttons on the keyboard for controlling music.

That lags the hell out of Soldat.  Don't do it.

Can you give me the specific problem?

Because it doesn't lag for you, does not mean it wont for the rest of us..We all have different CPUs.

different or shitty?

I run mozzilla, a media player, sometimes multiple chat clients including voip and with an unrecognizable decrease in FPS, my CPU has its third birthday near christmas.

But if you really really really want to use the mp3 player then you need to get winamp or quintessential player or anything else that supports the winamp playlist filetype and use that program to make a playlist and save it in your mp3 folder.

Point is that if media player + soldat lags for you, then I dont see how you can play any other games.
Anyway, there are good media players that uses very little CPU, like Foobar2000.

I got a mp3 converter and converted the tracks to m3u format. Only a small few tracks play.
