How to color your grenades?

Just a question: I have heard that you can color your grenades, without downloading a mod. I would like to keep my default weapons, but I want the grenades in an other color, so i can see them better in-game. Can someone please explain me how i can do this?

You edit the grenade image that is in the 'Weapons-gfx' folder in your Soldat directory. You may want to make a back-up of the orignal image in case you mess up or somthing.

So you're pretty much making your own mod, but without extra guns etc.

Ok, but which file do i need to edit? Because you have a Frag-grenade.bmp, cluster.bmp and a cluster-grenade.bmp. And if i have the file i need, can i then just open it in paint, and paint it over?

Yes. Just open the image in paint and modify it then save.

Frag-grenade.bmp is for regular grenades and cluster-grenade.bmp is for cluster grenades. (I believe that the smaller grenades that bounce out of the cluster grenades are really small versions of Frag-grenade.bmp.

No, the smaller ones are cluster.bmp. The entire cluster grenade before exploding is cluster-grenade.bmp..
