Eh, my love for the sound of the Minimi has gotten total near-control of me. About a month ago I started playing soldat with headphones on, cuz of my roommate's graveyard shift sleep schedule.

I think I've become addicted to the Minimi sound, it is so freaking awesome at high volume with headphones. No other gun speaks with as much AUTHORITEH as the Minimi. Sometimes I swear I pick that weapon just cuz i wanna hear the relentless 'fuckyeah' beat of the DREADDREADDREADDREAD that only the Mini can provide. So much more satisfying than the TAKTAKTAK of the lighter autos. Although I'm fairly versatile with weapon selection, I think that sometimes I pick the Minimi not because its the best weapon for the current situation but just cuz i LOVE it so much.

The menacing 'hiss' of an outgoing LAW is also an aural Soldat addiction of mine, and 3rd place goes to that particular 'splat' sound that you can only get when a Spaz hits someone full in the face. Ain't nothing like the full glory and thunder of a full-on 5v5 Trenchwars game sometimes...In 4th place I put the 'dying by fire scream' of getting killed by a flamer.

When I introduce friends to Soldat, I always tell em to really check out the sounds, I think they are awesome. All of 'em really, but these are a few favorites of mine.

Sounds wouldn't balance anything.

I love the minimi for a few reasons, but one of them is the orky 'DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA' sound that makes filling those M79'ers with lead all the more satisfying

I'm thinking of modifying my minimi sound with the machinegun that the armoured suit has in Ghost in the Shell: 1st sac as it'll sound great with my bass speaker.

Eh, I really waffled a lot on where to put this post; I don't usually cruise this section of the forums. I figured it would get best responses from people that were like really into Soldat weapons.

About the minimi, I have to agree. I can't even play soldat without the volume really loud, so I almost always play with headphones. The minimi is the best weapon in soldat!
