(I'm also programmer)I would like to make the following suggestons. Maybe its more effective to implement them in the new game MM is making:
Improve GUI to a cool, unique and minimalistic style (with dynamic resize)
But it increases the amount of n00bs that only want to use a "cool" game
But Soldat should be honored in this way, i think
Improve map handling and add map previews
like my tool ySoldatCenter (isn't finished)
Add more options and body parts to user appearance
Enable player searching on all public servers
net friends=friends? don't think about it:)
Add built-in stats and demo player into the GUI

Add martials arts as secondary weapon
oh yea. since i play knife as primary i thought about it while i was in bed. I think it would be the best add-on (for me, yea)
Make throwing guns damage players on hit
A unique game, has its uniqe details. Physics is the best on soldat.
Damn i loved that idea with the polygons. I'm afraid of what kind of atmosphere the new game will have when the n00bs begin to pixel paint. But you're right. Its the next step. (@MM)
Add user description to saved servers
Add reduced Field Of View on realisitc servers
rarely play real but maybe more professional.
